  • Patent number: 5481057
Abstract: A process for catalytic cracking and C3/C4 olefin alkylation with phosphorus stabilized faujasite catalyst is disclosed. Catalytic cracking produces C3 and C4 olefins, which are alkylated using phosphorus stabilized and water activated cracking catalyst. Spent alkylation catalyst may be discharged into the FCC unit.

  • Patent number: 5143879
Abstract: This invention relates to a method for removing organic directing agents from as-synthesized molecular sieves comprising:(a) contacting said porous synthetic material with polar solvent having dissolved therein at least one cation donor, wherein said polar solvent is characterized by solubility parameters f.sub.d, f.sub.p, and f.sub.h wherein the values of solubility parameters f.sub.d, f.sub.p, and f.sub.h are defined by a circular region of the Teas diagram of Figure 41, said circular region having a center defined by the coordinates (f.sub.d =46, f.sub.p =22, f.sub.

  • Patent number: 5139621
Abstract: An azeotropic distillation method for separating diamondoids from a near-boiling solvent. The method is particularly useful for recovering diamondoids extracted from a produced natural gas stream via hydrocarbon solvent injection.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 11, 1990
Date of Patent: August 18, 1992
    Assignee: Mobil Oil Corporation
Inventors: Richard A. Alexander, D. Duayne Whitehurst
  • Patent number: 5080776
Abstract: A two-stage method is provided for converting diamondoid-containing wash oils to gasoline comprising a first hydrocracking stage and a second reforming stage. In the most preferred embodiment, process conditions are controlled to effect a substantially hydrogen-balanced conversion of diamondoid-containing solvent to a motor gasoline blending component.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 14, 1990
Date of Patent: January 14, 1992
    Assignee: Mobil Oil Corporation
Inventors: Randall D. Partridge, D. Duayne Whitehurst
  • Patent number: 5019665
Abstract: Diamondoid compounds are concentrated in a solvent mixture containing at least 20% by weight of normal and slightly branched C.sub.5 -C.sub.30 paraffins by selectively converting the paraffins to lower boiling aliphatic hydrocarbons and separating the lower boiling aliphatics from the solvent mixture to yield a concentrated solvent mixture enriched in diamondoid compounds. Useful shape selective catalysts include zeolites having Constraint Indices from about 1 to about 12, such as ZSM-5 and MCM-22.
