    Abstract: A shredding device for shredding a material includes a first blade and a second blade that is sufficiently adjacent to the first blade so that the first blade and the second blade overlap and intermesh. The first and second blades are rotatably associated with each other and are urged into rotational movement by a rotating means. A feeder controllably directs the material into the overlap region between the rotating first and second blades for producing shredded material segments, the segments measuring less than a predetermined dimension in any direction.
