  • Patent number: 5906316
Abstract: Disclosed herein are nozzles connectable to a hose or other fluid supply. The nozzles can store an active material such as an insecticide and then dissolve it into the water from the hose. The nozzle has an elongated cylindrical outer housing. A sleeve is positioned in the housing which stores the active material. An interaction between a cap and a valve controls the valve on/off operation and also a rinse by-pass in response to rotation of the housing relative to a knob. After the liquid passes into the sleeve, it travels a serpentine path before it reaches the outlet of the housing. This, along with a particle trap and a swirl chamber, provides a relatively consistent solution concentration.

  • Patent number: 5690484
Abstract: A wick holder is disclosed, along with blanks for forming it, candles that incorporate it, and methods for making it. The wick holder has platforms for supporting the bottom of the wick and side peripheral guides. It also has leg panels to center the wick in the candle.

  • Patent number: 5398846
Abstract: An apparatus for the simultaneous dispensing of fluids from multiple containers in a pre-determined ratio. The apparatus has a pump, at least two fluid containers, a fluid transfer device including dip tubes to transfer fluid from the containers to the pump, a venting system that prevents the creation of pressure differentials between the containers, and a device to open and close the dip tubes so leakage from the containers can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 5378422
Abstract: A molding mechanism and method of using that mechanism for simultaneously forming, by injection molding, two molded parts intended to be interference fit together and then, while the two molded parts are still within the molding mechanism, repositioning them and fitting them together. The sequenced interplay of the moving parts of the molding mechanism which accomplishes this process may be controlled by either a two-part or a single-part camming mechanism. The two molded parts may be an actuator-overcap and a spray nozzle insert.

  • Patent number: 4412668
Abstract: Apparatus for orienting heavy mold bases and the like, including a pair of rockers connected together in spaced align relation and having upper planar support surfaces terminated at one end by a fixed abutment and at the other by an adjustable clamp. The curved surfaces of the rockers have a curvature of shorter radius at points near the abutments than at points near the clamping devices. The curved surface, abutment and clamping device of each rocker are arranged such that the center of gravity of a heavy mold base is normally slightly off-center toward the abutment end of the rockers.
