  • Publication number: 20080106392
Abstract: A cargo alarm system includes a signal carrying device configured to be coupled between the cargo and a storage location. The signal carrying device provides a closeable loop alarm signal path on which an alarm signal is conducted between the storage location and the cargo. An alarm unit in signal communication with the signal carrying device generates the alarm signal and triggers an alert condition when the alarm signal path is disrupted.

  • Publication number: 20080001052
Abstract: A mountable storage arrangement for mounting to a receiver includes a draw tube, a hinge portion, a support member, and a locking member. The draw tube includes first and second end portions, the first end portion being configured to be secured to the receiver. The hinge portion is assembled to the draw tube. The support member is connected to the draw tube at the hinge portion and is pivotable between a lowered position and an upright position. The locking member is connected with the hinge portion and may be movable between an unlocking condition and a locking condition for selectively securing the support member in one or more of the upright position, the lowered position, and at least one intermediate position between the upright position and the lowered position.

  • Publication number: 20060230934
Abstract: A method and apparatus for processing air is described herein. An example apparatus includes a housing, a high-velocity air flow guide, a filter assembly, and a fan. The high-velocity air flow guide includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is configured to form a passage within the housing, and the second portion is configured to divert and accelerate air flow of the ambient air from the passage to a chamber of the housing. The filter assembly includes one or more filtering elements configured to receive the ambient air from the chamber. The fan is configured to draw the ambient air from the chamber through the filter assembly and to generate processed air from the ambient air.

  • Publication number: 20060213157
Abstract: An example wall-embeddable air processing apparatus includes a cabinet having substantially parallel first and second surfaces and a plurality of air filter elements located within the cabinet. The air filter elements are arranged so that filtration surfaces of the filter elements are substantially coplanar to each other and substantially parallel to the first and second surfaces. An intake vent is operatively coupled to the cabinet and configured to enable ambient air to be drawn into the cabinet. A fan is operatively coupled to the cabinet and configured to draw the ambient air into the cabinet and to cause the ambient air to flow through the plurality of air filter elements to generate processed air.

  • Publication number: 20060077057
Abstract: Sensors and methods for detecting attachment to a surface are disclosed. The sensors include a housing having an inner surface, an outer surface and a passage extending through the housing. An elongated member or fastener extends though the passage and protrudes from the outer surface of the housing to attach the sensor to a surface. First and second electrical contacts are disposed within the housing so that when the sensor is attached to the surface an electrical path is formed between the first and second electrical contacts.

  • Publication number: 20060042205
Abstract: An example presentation apparatus comprises a cabinet-like base and a surface coupled to the cabinet-like base and configured to hold an object. The cabinet-like base and the surface are configured to cooperate finctionally with a finction of the object. A portion of an air processing apparatus is disposed within the cabinet-like base and configured to move ambient air through the cabinet-like base to generate processed air. An exhaust structure is operatively coupled to the cabinet-like base and configured to enable the processed air to exit the presentation apparatus via a flow path that is spatially associated with a substantially predetermined position of the object.

  • Patent number: 4787523
Abstract: A test tube rack for both group stamping and thereafter holding reagent tubes in test position. The rack includes end supports and an intermediate test tube grid and is operable in alternate horizontal position for the stamping operations and in a vertical position for the test operation. Control bars with means for holding specimen tubes may also operate to hold the reagent tubes in position. The control bars also operate in open and closed positions.
