  • Publication number: 20060277567
Abstract: An improved system and method and system for advertising to audio program listeners that uses an embedded main signal from an audio program service that contains an audio program file, advertisement audio file, program information file, and advertisement audio information file to a listener's addressable digital audio recording device (DAR). When the signal is received by DAR two audio and advertisement program files and the two data information files are separated and stored locally in separate databases. The audio program file may be delivered directly to the listener's DAR for immediate listening. The audio program data information file contains the target demographic profile information and the commercial break information for the audio program. The advertisement audio file and the advertisement data information file are stored in an advertisement library file database and advertisement information file, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20050289588
Abstract: An improved system and method for advertising to video program viewers that sends a signal from a signal provider that contains a video program file, a video advertisement file, a video program data file, and a video advertisement data file to a viewer's addressable video recording device (DVR). When the signal is received by the DVR, the video and program and data files are separated and stored locally in separate databases. The video program file may be delivered directly to the viewer' television or monitor for immediate viewing. The video program data information file contains the target demographic profile information and the commercial break information for the video program. The video advertisement file and the video advertisement data file are stored in a video advertisement library database and video advertisement information, database, respectively.

  • Patent number: 5106320
Abstract: A connector having an electrically insulative housing with at least one terminal receiving cavity extending longitudinally through the housing between the forward and rearward ends thereof. The forward end of the housing is structured to releasably mate with a similarly shaped housing of a second connector that is inverted relative to the first. The rearward end of the housing is structured so that each terminal receiving cavity longitudinally receives a terminal, the terminal having an attached electrical cable extending beyond the rearward end of the housing. A biasing spring in the form of a cantilever, biases the terminal transversely between the floor of the terminal receiving cavity and the terminal. A latch edge of the biasing spring interferingly engages the terminal so as to affix the terminal within the terminal receiving cavity.

  • Patent number: 4335931
Abstract: A power cable connector for battery cables or the like includes a terminal cantilever-mounted in a cavity in an insulating housing. A retention spring includes a biasing portion with latching structure for retaining the terminal in the cavity. A release tongue on the spring permits the biasing portion to be flexed for withdrawal of the terminal. The release tongue includes a transversely extending barrier portion blocking the gap between the spring and the terminal so that the terminal can be pushed from the cavity without wedging.

  • Patent number: 4243292
Abstract: A connector for interconnecting a battery cable to a battery post or strap of an industrial battery or battery pack of an electrical vehicle or the like. A core assembly of copper includes a ring and a tube contacting one another with a point on the ring periphery adjacent one end of the tube and with the plane of the ring generally tangent to the tube. A body of lead partially encapsulates the core assembly and includes a washer-like portion surrounding the ring and a second portion surrounding one tube end. The other tube end extends from the body to form a cable receiving socket with which a clamping structure is associated so that subsequent cable replacement can be effected without replacement of the connector. Due to the orientation of the ring relative to the tube and the low profile of the washer-like body portion, the connector has wide applicability in providing a retrofit in many types of existing battery installations.

  • Patent number: 3944847
Abstract: An electrical disconnect switch which includes a pair of fixed tubular conductors having tulip connectors mounted on the free ends thereof. The switch includes a pair of movable tubular conductors telescopically engageable with the tulip connectors for completing a circuit through the switch. The movable conductors are spring biased to an opened position and a latch is provided for retaining the movable conductors in a closed position. The switch also includes a solenoid connected across the fixed conductors and designed to operate a lever for blocking movement of the movable conductors to the closed position when a relatively high current is flowing through the solenoid.
