  • Patent number: 9538703
Abstract: The knife head mounts to the sickle to hold a plurality of knife sections thereon while allowing removal of the knife sections individually without major disassembly for ease of in field repair and replacement. A knife pin of the knife head connects to a knife arm driven by the sickle drive mechanism and is removable from above also without major disassembly. The knife pin connection provides a vertical self adjustment capability to accommodate sickle wear and vertical misalignment between the sickle and drive. And the knife arm is streamlined for cut plant material flow thereabout and is also adapted for ease of removal and field repair.

  • Patent number: 9519944
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to dependency resolution among processor pipelines. In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a first special-purpose pipeline configured to execute, in parallel, a first type of graphics instruction for a group of graphics elements and a second special-purpose pipeline configured to execute, in parallel, a second type of graphics instruction for the group of graphics elements. In this embodiment, the apparatus is configured, in response to dispatch of an instruction of the second type, to mark a particular instruction of the first type with information indicative of the dispatched instruction. In this embodiment, the particular instruction and the dispatched instruction correspond to the same group of graphics elements. In this embodiment, the apparatus is configured to stall performance of the dispatched instruction until the first special-purpose pipeline has completed execution of the marked particular instruction.

  • Publication number: 20160343494
Abstract: An improved system and method for moving an object includes a first correlated magnetic structure associated with a first object and a second correlated magnetic structure associated with a second object. The first and second correlated magnetic structures are complementary coded to achieve a peak attractive tensile force and a peak shear force when their code modulos are aligned thereby enabling magnetic attachment of the two objects whereby movement of one object causes movement of the other object as if the two objects were one object. Applying an amount of torque to one correlated magnetic structures greater than a torque threshold causes misalignment and decorrelation of the code modulos enabling detachment of the two objects. The number, location, and coding of the correlated magnetic structures can be selected to achieve specific torque characteristics, tensile force characteristics, and shear force characteristics.

  • Publication number: 20160315702
Abstract: Embodiments may provide a way of communicating via an electromagnetic radiator, or light source, that can be amplitude modulated such as light emitting diode (LED) lighting and receivers or detectors that can determine data from light received from the amplitude modulated electromagnetic radiator. Some embodiments may provide a waveform in the form of chips at a chipping clock frequency that switch a light source between on and off states to communicate via light sources that can be amplitude modulated such as LED lighting. Some embodiments may provide a method of transmitting the waveform via modulated LED lighting. Some embodiments are intended for indoor navigation via photogrammetry (i.e., image processing) using self-identifying LED light anchors. In many embodiments, the data signal may be communicated via the light source at amplitude modulating frequencies such that the resulting flicker is not perceivable to the human eye.

  • Publication number: 20160301984
Abstract: Total advertising inventory of a broadcast station can be dynamically allocated between local, or station-sold, inventory and general, or network, inventory. The portion of total inventory allocated to local inventory or network inventory can be adjusted based on feedback from an advertising service, and a broadcast log can be generated based on the adjusted allocation. The broadcast log can be delivered to a media automation system associated with a media station which plays out local inventory in accordance with the broadcast log. When the broadcast log indicates that general/network inventory is to be broadcast, the media automation system stops playing-out local inventory, and allows the advertisement system to broadcast network inventory for a period of time indicated by the broadcast log. Broadcast of local inventory can be resumed early, before the time period indicated in the broadcast log has expired.

Abstract: Embodiments may provide a way of communicating via an electromagnetic radiator, or light source, that can be amplitude modulated such as light emitting diode (LED) lighting and receivers or detectors that can determine data from light received from the amplitude modulated electromagnetic radiator. Some embodiments may provide a method of transmitting/encoding data via modulated LED lighting and other embodiments may provide receiving/decoding data from the modulated LED lighting by means of a device with a low sampling frequency such as a relatively inexpensive camera (as might be found in a smart phone). Some embodiments are intended for indoor navigation via photogrammetry (i.e., image processing) using self-identifying LED light anchors. In many embodiments, the data signal may be communicated via the light source at amplitude modulating frequencies such that the resulting flicker is not perceivable to the human eye.

  • Patent number: 9452338
Abstract: A system and method of detecting head movement during a golf swing includes wirelessly coupled sensor devices at the golfer's head and hand, each including an accelerometer, processor, and communication module. The hand sensor device measures forces at the hand, and the head sensor device measures movement at the head. During a swing, the accelerometer in the hand sensor device measures forces in three directions and generates swing data. The processor in the hand sensor device detects an impact time in the swing data, and that impact time is transmitted to the head sensor device. The accelerometer in the head sensor device continuously measures forces in three directions and generates head data. The processor in the head sensor device processes the head data around the impact time to detect head movement. The processor in the head sensor device then issues an alert if the head movement exceeds a threshold.

  • Publication number: 20160261765
Abstract: One or more system, apparatus, method, and computer readable media is described below for conveyance of hidden image data between a display and a camera. In some embodiments, modulating a display pixel refresh rate a predetermined amount relative to a target camera frame rate conveys hidden image data. In further embodiments, a camera module is employed to detect one or more changes in state and/or logic level associated with the pixel refresh rate modulation. The logic levels are then decoded to deduce the hidden image data. In some embodiments, a visually perceptible representation of the hidden image data is then output to a output panel. For example, in one exemplary embodiment the hidden image data includes a pixel value indicative of a color that is to be output to one or more pixel of a camera viewer.
