    Abstract: A tree stand and mounting member assembly is provided that has a base and mounting member that are releasably attachable to one another. First and second engagement members are included that have first and second female and male members. The first and second engagement members function to allow the mounting member to be releasably attachable to the base. The first engagement member does not engage the second engagement member and is spaced from the second engagement member in a vertical direction when the mounting member is attached to the base and the tree stand and mounting member assembly is mounted to a tree in a use configuration.
