Abstract: A system for the control of an auger, such as for conveying agricultural particulate materials, is disclosed in which a discharge spout is attached to the discharge end of the auger tube, the discharge spout is both freely movable and adjustable in length, and the rotation of the auger may be controlled from a location on and adjacent to the discharge end of the discharge spout. Such control is accomplished by an electrical switch which controls a normally open hydraulic solenoid valve for in the alternative selectively bypassing or porting the hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic motor of the auger.

Abstract: An auger planter is provided for forming small holes in the earth for the planting of flower bulbs and the like. The auger includes a central shaft and a single flighting having its leading and trailing ends truncated. When used, the single flighted auger exhibits minimal eccentric orbital rotation and minimizes inadvertent injury to the user.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a positioning mechanism for a gravity box auger in which the auger is hydraulically swung between its transport and working positions. The positioning mechanism includes a telescopic support arm for supporting the auger at an elevation angle relative to the gravity box and the support arm is coupled to the gravity box and the auger by swivelable couplings which permit swivelable movement of the support arm relative to both the gravity box and the auger as it is being moved between its working and transport positions.
