  • Patent number: 11118685
Abstract: A multi-layered lip seal comprising a dynamic layer optionally having a filler incorporated therein and a static layer optionally having a filler incorporated therein is described. The lip seal has an annular ring shape, wherein an inner diameter of the ring shape is curved in an axial direction so as to give the lip seal a J-shape when viewed from a cross-sectional perspective. Fillers that can be included in static layer include stiffening filler, reinforcement fillers, conductive fillers and/or abrasion resistance fillers. Fillers that can be included in the dynamic layer include wear resistance fillers. The use of specific fillers in specific layers of the multi-layered lip seal allows for certain segments of the lip seal to be imparted with the benefits of the filler without negatively impacting other segments of the lip seal.

  • Patent number: 11097508
Abstract: Polymeric multilayer material includes an adhesive layer having first and second opposed major surfaces. A first foam layer is joined to the first major surface and includes a first plurality of expandable microspheres. A first skin layer is attached to the first foam layer and is free of the first plurality expandable microspheres. A second foam layer is joined to the second major surface of the internal adhesive layer and includes a second plurality of expandable microspheres dispersed therein. A second skin layer is attached to the second foam layer and is free of the second plurality of expandable microspheres. A portion of the first expandable microspheres of the first foam layer and of the second foam layer is at least partially embedded within the adhesive layer. Embodiments, of polymeric multilayer materials described herein are useful, for example, as wearable medical or athletic support components. The materials can also be used as protective wrappings.

  • Patent number: 11078006
Abstract: A cooler insert includes a rectangular planar plate having a plurality of legs depending from a bottom of the plate. The plate has a plurality of channels defining breakage zones along their lengths to each form a removable section that can be selectively removed from the plate by breaking the plate along the breakage zone to adjust a dimension of the plate for fitting within a particularly sized cooler. Square apertures are positioned at each intersection of the channels to form a beveled corner between the channels when the plate is separated at the intersection.

  • Publication number: 20210196523
Abstract: Manufacturing methods are described for a goggle having an outrigger system where each outrigger includes a first segment coupled to a second segment at a fixed joint. Portions of the first segment may interlock or join with complementary portions of the second segment, such as through interlocking shapes, a solid friction lock, or via co-molding. The joining portions of the first and second segments may include complementary shapes that interlock together to secure the first and second segments together. The second segment may be molded onto or around at least a portion of the first segment, or vice versa, to secure the first and second segments together.
