  • Patent number: 11318602
Abstract: Robotic mobility assistant exoskeleton with frame members, which are attached adjacent to biological joints, supplements relative movement between skeletal members. Mechanical joint defines a center of relative rotation of frame members about three mutually perpendicular axes with the center of relative rotation of frame members being displaced from the outer surfaces of skeletal members to correspond in position with the center of biological joint. Actuation devices including powered cable springs rotate frame members. Control system executes calibrated user specific posture sequences and activates power. Mechanical joint exhibits cylindrical guide surfaces defining a slidable or rotatable connection of frame members and has a radius intersecting the center of the biological joint. Node control network distributes computing load and reduces communications overhead. Map unit has object recognition system for monitoring environment.

  • Patent number: 7333453
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for supporting inter-NAT-domain handoff in a VPN by associating L2TP and mobile IP. A mobile node is able to roam from an Intranet to a foreign network, and implement a VPN by L2TP. The Intranet has a VPN gateway and a home agent corresponding to the mobile node. The foreign network has a NAT gateway. An L2TP (PPP) tunnel passing the NAT gateway is established between the mobile node in the foreign network and the VPN gateway. The L2TP (PPP) tunnel has a first terminal on the VPN gateway, with an address set to the home agent's IP address, and a second terminal on the mobile node, with an address set to the mobile node's CoA.

  • Publication number: 20060155822
Abstract: A communication method, comprising constructing a Virtual Private Network (VPN) tunnel between a mobile device and an Intranet; and performing an Extensible Authentication Protocol-Subscriber Identification Module (EAP-SIM) authentication through the VPN tunnel. Access right of target service can be verified according to information in a SIM card no matter what kind of network access technology the service subscriber is using with the proposed communication method. A system utilizing the method is further provided.
