Abstract: A dental illumination apparatus includes a lamp system mounted on a support structure. The lamp system includes a light source. A control system is provided for controlling the activation of the lamp system. A light guide shields soft tissues local to teeth of a subject from effects of ultraviolet radiation. The light guide includes a lamp attachment formation coupled to the lamp system, and a recording device in communication with the control system, the recording device including memory which stores the amount of time that the light source has been on since the beginning of a treatment procedure. A lip retractor, coupled to the light guide, is adapted to receive the lips of a patient.

Abstract: Door stops are generally discussed herein for stopping door knobs or other door hardware from slamming against a wall with particular discussions on door stops having dampening means. Aspects of the door stop assemblies discussed herein include the use of a helical coil spring spacer for delimiting movement of a door and either a pliable insert or an outer sheath or both for dampening the spring when the same is impacted. A combination magnet and magnetically attractable plate or two magnets with opposite magnetic poles may be used to temporary secure a door in a fixed position.

Abstract: An automatic key trapping lock comprising a lock housing; a lock removable from the lock housing and further comprising a core with an internal lock assembly for trapping and releasing a key when a key is turned in a specified direction; a cam assembly comprising a cam member rotatably engaging the lock; a return spring biasing the cam member towards a key trapped position; said cam member operatively engages a locking and releasing solenoid with a plunger for locking and unlocking the cam member; and the locking and releasing solenoid is actuated by one or more control means operatively engaging the locking solenoid for locking or unlocking the cam. It is another object of the present invention to provide an adjustable key panel assembly having an adjustable cam for accommodating variable length locks.

Abstract: A digital baseball and softball game umpire status indicator comprising a battery powered or otherwise powered electronic unit possessing inputs and associated indicators for balls, strikes, outs, innings, home team and road team scores, and trips to the pitching mound. The housing is ergonomically designed to avoid user fatigue and inadvertent actuation of the inputs. The apparatus also has a time feature, an input lock feature, reset feature, an audible output when the indicators are advanced, and a redundant securing means to prevent inadvertent dropping of the device by the user. The displays are illuminated as required to provide for easy reading at night and during daylight. The device may also be equipped with wireless capabilities for actuation of remote displays such as scoreboards.
