  • Patent number: 7424285
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and a system for efficiently distributing electronic content such as game software to a plurality of users in a mobile communication network or a system including a plurality of mobile stations, In order to distribute an electronic content to a plurality of mobile stations after one mobile station receives and stores the electronic content having a license or a copyright from a server or a system having content, the mobile station distributes duplicates of the electronic data to other mobile stations, In addition, when the distributed content is executed, each mobile station determines whether or not operational grant is permitted so as to use the electronic content, Furthermore, when the distributed electronic content is executed in each mobile station, the mobile station uses electronic content after determining whether or not a mobile station distributing the content permits operational grant.

  • Patent number: 7374100
Abstract: Disclosed is a mobile terminal equipped with a smart card coupled with an RFID tag and a method for performing an RFID function in the mobile terminal. The smart card includes a user information processing section for storing user information and generating a user information signal including user information, an RFID information processing section for storing RFID data and generating an RFID signal including the RFID data, and a main calculating section connected to the user information processing section in order to control a generation and a transmission of the user information signal and connected to the RFID information processing section order to command a generation and a transmission of the RFID signal. When the RFID tag detects an approach of an RFID interrogator, the RFID tag requests a CPU of the smart card to perform the RFID function. Thus, the CPU of the smart card transmits a mode transition signal to a processor of the mobile terminal in order to indicate a mode transition into an RFID mode.

  • Patent number: 7158495
Abstract: A method of transmitting/receiving packet data in a mobile communication system, where a mobile station requests a packet channel to a base station is disclosed. The base station checks whether the packet channel is available by monitoring the state of a radio link. If the packet channel is available, the base station transmits a Packet Uplink Assignment message including a UDSF (Uplink/Downlink State Flag) to the mobile station. The mobile station checks whether a downlink state flag is set by monitoring the UDSF of the Packet Uplink Assignment message. When the downlink state flag is set, the mobile station receives downlink packet data from the base station in a dedicated mode after the mobile station completely transmits uplink packet data.

  • Publication number: 20050088285
Abstract: A mobile communication terminal including a radio frequency identification (RFID) receiver for receiving RFID data in a first format. An operation device converts the RFID data in the first format into a second format. A memory stores the RFID data in the second format. A codec encodes RFID data stored in the memory. A modulator RFID-modulates data output from the codec. An RFID transmitter transmits data output from the modulator to an RFID reader.

  • Publication number: 20050032544
Abstract: A multi-purpose hybrid terminal having secondary additional functions, such as Personal Digital Assistant, game and TV reception, in addition to a primary voice communication function. If the user presets one or more conditions such as time or place, to the implementation of an additional function while the terminal remains continuous within the phone mode, the terminal keeps monitoring whether the conditions have been met. When the condition is determined to have been met, the terminal automatically implements the additional function, even without the user's additional demand. Alternatively, the terminal informs the user of the completion of the preparation of the additional function by an appropriate method, thereby enabling the user to conveniently use the function, without much time delay, at a subsequent time of the user's choice.
