The organic light-emitting display device includes a first substrate including a pixel region in which an organic light-emitting diode is formed, and a non-pixel region. The organic light-emitting diode includes an organic light-emitting layer between a first electrode and a second electrode. A second substrate attached to the first substrate. A frit is provided between the non-pixel region of the first substrate and the second substrate to attach the first substrate and the second substrate. A reinforcement material of resin is formed outside the frit.

Abstract: A backlight assembly for a liquid crystal display device is disclosed with high efficiency and high brightness. The backlight assembly includes a light source in which a first light emitting diode and a second light emitting diode are combined, a board where the light source is mounted, and optical sheets arranged in front of the light source. By alternately arranging a front emitting type LED and a side emitting type LED in various structures, high efficiency and high brightness may be obtained using a small number of light emitting diodes.

Abstract: A direct type back light includes a case holding a plurality of lamps. The lamps may be “U” shaped and have curves arranged at a centerline of the case to face each other with a gap there between. A reflecting plate is positioned below the plurality of lamps. A luminance control sheet is provided above the reflecting plate and below the lamps in several of, or all of, the gaps. The luminance control sheet may have a lower reflectivity or a higher reflectivity than the reflecting plate to remove a bright line or a dark line in the center of the display, respectively.

Abstract: A digital video recording apparatus and an editing method for recorded broadcast programs are disclosed. In accordance with the disclosed apparatus and method, information of recorded broadcast programs is extracted from a broadcast stream which includes the broadcast programs. The extracted information is displayed on a display in the form of a program record list. Accordingly, the user can easily edit recorded broadcast programs by simply editing the program record list.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a digital broadcasting method and apparatus which can provide digital broadcast signals based on different broadcasting standards to the audiences. The digital broadcasting apparatus includes a plurality of tuners which can receive the broadcast signals based on the different broadcasting standards. A data broadcast signal based on one broadcasting standard is received through one of the tuners and displayed. In a state that a data broadcast signal based on one broadcasting standard is being displayed, the data broadcast signal being displayed is replaced with the data broadcast signal based on the different broadcasting standard in response to the audience's request. Accordingly, the audiences can view the desired data broadcast signal without regard to the broadcasting standards.
