  • Patent number: 8024758
Abstract: While a user uses one service in a digital multimedia broadcasting receiving terminal, there is implemented a function for suspending the service currently being used and enabling a different service to be used when the different service is provided. A function for enabling a call service to be used during a broadcast service is implemented. A call screen is displayed in a state in which a broadcast service connection is maintained, such that the user can use a new call service without stopping the broadcast service currently being used. In this concurrent service, switching between the call screen and a broadcast screen is possible. This display method can prevent images of the respective services from overlapping with each other and can provide one service without stopping another service.

  • Patent number: 7930718
Abstract: A method for displaying digital broadcast channel information on a digital broadcasting receiver, which includes searching for an unused reserve communication path among all communication paths over which digital broadcast data is transmitted; sequentially extracting identifiers of channels other than the one currently selected from digital broadcast channel guide information and receiving video data of a program, which is being broadcast on a channel corresponding to a first extracted identifier, through the reserve communication path; processing the received video data to extract image data from the video data, extracting digital broadcast channel guide information corresponding to the image data and displaying the extracted information together with the image data; and receiving video data of a channel subsequent to the channel corresponding to the displayed image data through the reserve communication path and processing the video data.

  • Patent number: 7137108
Abstract: A method, computer program product and data processing system for identifying non-externalized strings that are not hard-coded. In one embodiment, a method comprises the step of scanning a code, e.g., Java, line by line until a pair of string delimiters is identified. Once a pair of string delimiters is identified, the method further comprises the step of determining whether the string within the pair of string delimiters identified is a path name to a resource file, e.g., resource bundle. If the string is a path name to the resource file, then the string is a non-externalized string that is not hard-coded. If the string is not a path name to the resource file, then the string may be identified as a possible hard-coded string.

  • Publication number: 20060068699
Abstract: Disclosed is a satellite digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) receiving apparatus and method for tracking the position of a satellite and displaying the satellite's position on a terminal. Additionally, in the presence of an obstacle, notifying a user of a reception impossible state caused by the obstacle, in order to enable the user to efficiently receive a satellite signal. The terminal for receiving digital broadcasting included a receiver for receiving a digital broadcasting signal, a geo-magnetic sensor for determining the position of the terminal, a controller for generating broadcasting reception state information using the azimuth of a satellite and the position of the terminal, and a display for displaying the broadcasting reception state information.

  • Patent number: 6839712
Abstract: A method, computer program product and data processing system for identifying and modifying the format of keys in a resource file source code and in the associated a program code. In one embodiment of the present invention, a program reads a resource file source code for keys written in a non-standard format. Upon detecting one or more keys written in a non-standard format in the resource file source code, the program modifies the format of those one or more keys so that they are written in a standard format. The program may then read the associated program code for any text that matches the written format of the one or more keys written in the non-standard format. Upon detecting any text that matches the written format of the one or more keys written in the non-standard format, the program replaces any matched text with the updated written format, i.e. standard format, of the one or more keys whose format was modified.

  • Patent number: 6745348
Abstract: A method, computer program product and system for estimating the number of internationalization faults, e.g., errors, warnings, in a software program. The number of internationalization faults may be estimated by scanning a subset of the total lines of code in a software program. A first factor may be calculated based on a count and the number of faults identified in the lines of code scanned. A second factor may be calculated based on the number of faults remaining after subtracting the number of faults identified in error from the number of faults identified in the lines of code scanned as well as the number of faults identified in the lines of code scanned. An estimate of the number of faults in the entire software program may be calculated based on the first and second factor and the count of the total number of lines of code in the software program.
