  • Patent number: 6744317
Abstract: According to a digital linearizing method, a digital input signal on a first path is operated with an output signal of a main amplifying unit, to thus detect distortion components included in the output signal of the main amplifying unit. A digital input signal on a second path is correlated with the detected distortion components, to thus adaptively control a gain of the digital input signal on the second path during the detection of the distortion components. Therefore, according to the above method, it is possible to effectively and correctly remove the distortion components included in the output signal of the main amplifying unit by amplifying the detected distortion components and coupling the amplified distortion components with the output signal of the main amplifying unit.

  • Patent number: 6684016
Abstract: Disclosed is an optical fiber having a desired dispersion value to sufficiently suppress a non-linearity phenomenon, that is, a four-wave mixing phenomenon, occurring at a channel spacing of 50 GHz while minimizing the expense consumed for a compensation for dispersion. The optical fiber satisfies optical characteristics defined by a dispersion value of 7 to 10 ps/nm-km at a wavelength of 1,550 nm, a zero dispersion wavelength of 1,450 nm or less, and a cut-off wavelength of 1,250 nm or less. The optical fiber includes a core having a desired diameter (d1) and a desired refractive index (n1), the cladding surrounding the core and having a refractive index (ncl) less than the (n1), of the core (ncl<n1) or (n2) less than the outer cladding (n2<ncl). The (n2) of the inner cladding may also be less than the (n1) of the core and more than the (ncl) of the outer cladding.

  • Patent number: 6577193
Abstract: A linear power amplifying apparatus is disclosed. In case where the phases of the signal amplified in the main amplifier and of the input signal are compared, the amplified signal and the input signal are distributed and then coupled with a predetermined phase difference, thereby reducing the error component and widening the tolerance band which can attenuate the carrier as much as desired, so that the phase controlling for carrier attenuation is facilitated. In addition, in case where the phase of the error signal amplified in the error amplifier and that of the input signal amplified in the main amplifier are compared, the error signal and the input signal are distributed and then coupled with a predetermined phase difference, thereby reducing the error component and widening the tolerance band which can attenuate the error as much as desired, so that the phase controlling for error attenuation is facilitated.

  • Patent number: 6069721
Abstract: The radio frequency control circuit of the base station of a mobile communications system is constructed in a manner that the transmitting coupler branching the transmission signal to the shadow region is connected between the transmitting side power amplifier and transmitting antenna, and the receiving coupler inserting the signal received from the shadow region is connected between the receiving side low noise amplifier and splitter, to cover the shadow region using a simplified circuit configuration without a separate hardware. Therefore, a signal is transmitted by the optical antenna to a shadow region located at a long distance through the optical cable, and the signal is transmitted by the dispersion antenna to a shadow region located at close range through the coaxial cable, to provide radiocommunication service to a mobile located in the shadow region without establishing a base station in the shadow region.
