Abstract: Device for controlling a washing water flow passage in a dish water for controlling the washing water supplied to arms for spraying washing water to dishes. The device for controlling a washing water flow passage includes an inlet tube, first, second, third, and fourth tubes, first and second outlet tubes, a ball, a ball seat, and a valve. The first tube is extended upward from the inlet tube, and the second tube is extended slanted upward from the inlet tube. The third tube is extended upward vertically from a top of the second tube, and the fourth tube is connected between the first tube and the third tube in a downward slanted direction. The first outlet tube is formed on a top of a part where the first tube and the fourth tube are joined, and the second outlet tube is formed on a top of the third tube. The ball seat is provided to an inside of the inlet tube, and the valve is provided to one side of the first tube for blocking pass of the ball.

Abstract: A dishwasher includes an interior tub and a wash pump for pumping wash liquid to wash dishes located in the interior tub. A pump motor for driving the wash pump is regulated by a control unit that adjusts a spraying pressure of wash liquid. The method for operating a dishwasher includes sensing the degree to which wash liquid is soiled and regulating the speed of a pump motor for spraying wash liquid against the dishes, depending upon the degree to which the wash liquid is soiled. The regulation of the pump motor adjusts the wash liquid spraying pressure.

Abstract: A device for attenuating vibration of a drum type washing machine is provided which includes a balance chamber provided in an outer tub for temporary storage of extracted water during spinning for serving as a weight for attenuating vibration of the outer tub, means for supplying the extracted water to the balance chamber during spinning, and means for draining the extracted water from the balance chamber to outside of the washing machine on completion of the spinning, thereby permitting a significant savings in component production cost, and a light weighted washing machine for convenient transportation of the washing machine.

Abstract: A washing water supply apparatus for a dish washing machine which is capable of concurrently supplying washing water to both upper and lower spray arms or selectively supplying the washing water to either the upper spray arm or the lower spray arm based on the washing amount of dishes. The apparatus includes a casing for guiding washing water in a washing water flow path in order to convert a part of the washing water flow into a cross-flow, an orifice tube for increasing the flowing speed of the washing water introduced into the casing and discharging the same, a valve ball for opening/closing an orifice of the orifice tube, and movable in the interior of the casing in accordance with a flow direction of the washing water, and an actuator having a moving member for moving the valve ball toward the orifice.
