  • Patent number: 9845456
Abstract: A composition for deriving the maturation of dendritic cells includes complex cytokines generated by the simulation, the expression of which is induced on EBV-infected B cells. The dendritic cell maturation process, which conventionally takes approximately 7 days, can be shortened to 2 days, thereby producing dendritic cells in a more economically advantageous and effective manner.

  • Patent number: 9739766
Abstract: The present invention relates to a cell model for diseases associated with corneal neovascularization by using Epstein Barr virus (EBV)-infected human corneal epithelial cells (HCECs). Provided are a method for preparing a cell model for diseases associated with corneal neovascularization by using EBV-infected HCECs, the method including: infecting HCECs with EBV; culturing the infected HCECs; and determining whether the cultured HCECs are infected with EBV. In addition, provided is a method for screening diseases associated with corneal neovascularization prepared by the cell model for diseases associated with corneal neovascularization.

  • Patent number: 6389424
Abstract: An insertion method in a high-dimensional index structure for a content-based image retrieval is disclosed, in which a desired image can be efficiently searched when there is formed a high-dimensional image database. In the present invention, the basic properties of the CIR tree are utilized, and at the same time, a splitting algorithm having a superior search efficiency over the conventional CIR tree is employed. Further, an effective standard for choosing lower nodes is provided, and a re-insertion algorithm capable of re-inserting based on a weighted center is employed, thereby forming an ECIR (Extended CIR) as a high-dimensional index structure supporting efficient retrieval performance. That is, a splitting algorithm for the branch nodes and the terminal nodes are adopted so as to improve the efficiency when carrying out the search and insertion. The re-insertion objects are chose based on the weighted center when the nodes overflow.

  • Patent number: 6275828
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of providing persistence to objects which are to be created in a C++ application program, which may present to an user an interface for creating persistent objects with a same concept to that to create transient object in a C++ application program and method of implementing the interface. The present method includes overloading an object creation operator (new( )) into a persistent capable class (OM_POBJECT) as a C++ application program interface of an object oriented database system to use an object creation operator without parameter(OM_POBJECT::new( )), an object creation operator having persistence as parameters(OM_POBJECT::new(persistence)), and an object creation operator having persistence and typename parameters(OM_POBJECT::new(persistence, typename); and using a step of operating the persistence object creation operator and a step of operating a constructor function to support the interface.
