    Abstract: A backlight unit includes a light source part configured to emit a light and a reflective sheet disposed under the light source part. The light source part includes a first light source block including a plurality of light sources with first distances therebetween and a second light source block including a plurality of light sources with second distances therebetween. The first distances increase or decrease as the light sources of the first light source block are closer to an end portion of the first light source block than to a center portion of the first light source block, and the second distances increase as the light sources of the second light source block axe closer to an end portion of the second light source block than to a center portion of the second light source block.

Each of the protruding portions includes first and second protruding portions sequentially arranged from the first side surface to the second side surface. A width of the first protruding portion in a direction substantially parallel to the first side surface becomes smaller as a distance from the first side surface becomes larger, and a width of the second protruding portion in the direction substantially parallel to the first side surface becomes larger as the distance from the first side surface becomes larger.

    Abstract: A display device includes first light emitting devices arranged in a line in a protective member, second light emitting devices parallel to and alternately arranged with the first light emitting devices, and optical member supporters in the protective member between the first and second light emitting devices. Each optical member supporter is positioned at a center of a parallelogram defined by two adjacent first light emitting devices and two adjacent second light emitting devices, and each transparent optical member supporter includes a first surface that faces one of the first light emitting devices and a second surface opposite the first surface that faces one of the second light emitting devices. Each optical member supporter includes a plate portion having the first and second surfaces, and a hook portion that extends through the protective member. A width of the plate portion decreases with increasing distance from the hook portion.
