    Abstract: A method of controlling a home appliance, the method including, by a home appliance: outputting, via Bluetooth low energy (BLE) advertising, a BLE advertising packet including service set identifier (SSID)-related information related to an SSID of a software enabled access point (Soft AP) of the home appliance in a new product state in which the home appliance has not been registered in a server; outputting a Wi-Fi beacon of the Soft AP; in response to a connection request for the Soft AP received from a mobile device after outputting the Wi-Fi beacon, establishing a Wi-Fi communication connection between the mobile device and the Soft AP; receiving, from the mobile device via the Wi-Fi communication connection, a control signal related to an initial setting operation of registering the home appliance in the server; and performing the initial setting operation, based on the received control signal.

    Abstract: Accordingly, the present invention relates to a monitoring system and method for a trunk gateway. In the monitoring system of the present invention, a trunk gateway is interposed between the Internet and a PSTN and is adapted to packetize a trunk line into packets and to transmit the packets to the Internet, or to perform a reverse procedure. The monitoring system includes a VoIP agent connected to the Internet and adapted to originate and terminate a VoIP call and to generate an MOS value using a voice file received from a counterpart. A circuit network agent is connected to the PSTN and adapted to originate and terminate a call and to generate a MOS value using a voice file received from a counterpart. A center server performs various types of control operations related to measurement of service quality of the trunk gateway, including establishment and termination of a call, and collects the MOS values.
