    Abstract: An arrangement for radio communication includes a first radio station or base station, a number of second radio stations, and a number of subscriber stations. The second radio stations each include a digital radio arrangement and first and second devices for, respectively, communicating with the first station and with a subscriber station. The first device includes a long-range antenna for communication with the first station. The second device includes an antenna for communication with at least one of the subscriber stations. The digital radio arrangement includes a radio switch having a common transceiver providing wireless communication with the first station as well as with a subscriber station.

    Abstract: In a cellular mobile radio system a method of choosing at a mobile station an appropriate base station and time slot on a time division multiplexed radio channel for the purpose of call set up or handover, wherein each base station transmits in one time slot of a predetermined control radio channel and, at least once during a multiframe, in each communication radio channel time slot used by the base station for calls, roaming signals comprising information on identity of transmitting base station and communication radio channels available at transmitting base station, the mobile scanning the control and communication channels and when desirous of call set up or handover selecting a base station and a time slot on a communication channel, the mobile desirous of call set up or handover transmitting to the choosen base information on mobile identity and the choosen communication channel time slot.

    Abstract: In a method of establishing, in the reception of messages in the form of characters sent by radio, particularly messages to personnel locators, that the latest of the received messages is identical with a previously received and stored message, there is included identifying the message with guidance from an identity code transmitted in the message. The code is either a part, i.e. a so-called block of the message or a character combination in the message. There is further included giving particular treatment to a received message with the same identity code as one already stored such as ignoring it.

    Abstract: In a method of receiving messages transmitted by radio in the form of coded characters, there is included storing a message in blocks together with error indications pertaining to the same, storing the same repeated messages in a register, and then combining a final version of the message from the blocks associated with the stored messages and containing the least number of errors. For guidance in the combination of blocks from different messages, there is an identity code inserted in each message. There are further included inserting, and searching for, characters in the messages pertaining to repetititon of the messages, the number of blocks in the messages and joining several messages into a continuous message.

    Abstract: A method and an equipment for wireless transmission of telephone calls between a stationary unit (1) connected to a telephone set (3) at a short distance from the stationary unit provides that all pairs of units (1, 3) have access to a plurality of common duplex radio speech channels for transmission of calls, and to a common radio signalling channel for transmission of signals referring to connection and disconnection of the speech channels. The radio speech channels are assigned after adaptive channel scanning in that they are listened to before a call, and a channel selected which is idle with respect to calls. The selection of an idle channel takes place automatically with the use of radio receivers (12, 25), channel selectors (15, 28) and circuits (16, 29) incorporated in both units.
