  • Patent number: 7819073
Abstract: A method for coordinating a floating wind turbine installation. The wind turbine installation includes a buoyant body (1), a tower (2) arranged over the buoyant body, a generator (3) mounted on the tower which is rotatable in relation to the wind direction and fitted with a wind rotor (4), and an anchor line arrangement (5) connected to anchors or anchor points on the sea bed. Static heeling, ?s—max, at full wind load on the wind turbine is as low as possible, but preferably less than 8 degrees, and all eigenperiods for the installation are outside the waves' period range. The eigenperiod in pitch, T05 (roll, T04), is preferably less than 80% of the T03 eigenperiod in heave. Moreover, the ratio between T03 and T05 is not close to 0.5 or 1.

  • Publication number: 20090092449
Abstract: The anchoring device for a floating wind turbine installation, such wind turbine installation comprising a floating cell (7), a tower (8) arranged over the floating cell, a generator (9) mounted on the tower which is rotatable in relation to wind direction and fitted with a wind rotor (10), and an anchor line arrangement (6) connected to anchors or anchoring points on the sea bed. The individual anchor lines (11) are each, at a certain distance from the floating cell (7) at a fixing point (5) on the individual anchor line, connected with double lines (2, 3) slanting outwards and connected to the floating cell (7) in a delta-shaped arrangement.

  • Patent number: 5927902
Abstract: A device for connection or suspension between a detachable flexible or semi-flexible riser pipe (4) and a pipe system (14) on a fixed or floating platform or ship (15) has a rotary connection which is designed in such a way that the connection between the riser pipe (4) and the pipe system (14) is moment-free or mainly moment-free. The rotary connection may appropriately have a swivel housing (3) which, on one side, is fitted with a first tubular shaft (1) which is connected to the pipe system (14) on the platform or ship and, on the other side, is fitted with a second tubular shaft (2) which is arranged in a swivel housing at an angle of 90.degree. to the first tubular shaft (1) and which is connected to the riser pipe (4). The two shafts (1, 2) communicate with each other via a cavity in the swivel housing (3), but are closed to the surroundings at their ends.

  • Patent number: 4669917
Abstract: A steel structure supports a deck with production facilities for oil and gas at large water depths and is assembled while it is floating in the sea. The structure includes a vertical erected triangular trusswork tower supported by a base and extending up to a level above the water surface where it supports a deck. The tower includes three corner columns interconnected by horizontal and diagonal trusswork stays. The tower is supported by three inclined supporting legs which terminate in base foundations. The supporting legs are symmetrically arranged around the tower in such a way that each of them faces a respective side plane of the triangular tower. Each supporting leg has a trusswork construction of triangular cross-section.During installation of the structure the tower is floated vertically in the sea, while the supporting legs are floated in approximately horizontal position with installation frames mounted thereon.
