  • Patent number: 6642337
Abstract: The problem addressed by the invention was to find an anionic polymerization inhibitor for cyanoacrylate adhesives containing one or more cyanoacrylates, stabilizers against anionic and radical polymerization and auxiliaries typically used in such adhesive systems which, besides a reliable inhibiting effect, would counteract any increase in the setting time after storage. This problem was solved by using 2-oxo-1,3,2-dioxathiolanes as inhibitors.

  • Patent number: 6204309
Abstract: Cyanoacrylate adhesive containing a pyrylium salt as a fluorescent dye are useful for bonding various substrates, particularly transparent plastics. The pyrylium salt may be present in relatively large quantities in the adhesive without any adverse effect on the storage stability and adhesive properties, yet shows very little inherent coloration in visible light.

  • Patent number: 6201088
Abstract: Cyanoacrylate adhesives which have increased heat resistance, yet also exhibit good storage stability and acceptable cure times, are obtained by using 2-cyanopentadienoic acid esters in combination with alkylene bis-(2-cyanopentadienoates).
