  • Patent number: 8507053
Abstract: A sealant that can be used in a liquid crystal display device without contaminating the liquid crystal layer is presented. The sealant includes an acrylic-based compound having at least two acryl groups per molecule and an epoxy-based compound having an epoxy group and a dihydrazide compound. A liquid crystal display using the sealant is provided. The liquid crystal display includes a first substrate having a display area, a second substrate on the first substrate and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first and second substrates. A sealant pattern is formed on any one of the first and second substrates in an outer portion of the display area by using the sealant.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 26, 2007
Date of Patent: August 13, 2013
    Assignee: Samsung Display Co., Ltd.
    Inventors: Ki-Chul Shin, Yeon-Sik Ham, Da-Hye Cho
  • Patent number: 8415965
Abstract: In a test method of a display panel, a test signal and a test voltage are generated according to a test control signal. A display area of the display panel is tested based on the test signal and the test voltage. A driving voltage line and an on/off voltage line formed on the display panel are tested based on the test signal and the test voltage.
