Abstract: Database systems and methods are provided for initiating an action at a database system by an instance of a native application at a client device coupled to the database system over a network. One method involves downloading, to a data storage element at the client device, metadata indicative of update criteria for a configuration associated with the instance of the native application from the database system over the network, monitoring, by a service associated with the native application at the client device, a context associated with the client device with respect to the update criteria, and when the context associated with the client device satisfies the update criteria, automatically providing, by the service to the database system over the network, an indication that the update criteria is satisfied to automatically initiate the action at the database system in accordance with the configuration associated with the native application.

Abstract: Database systems and methods are provided for providing record data to an application extension associated with a native application at a client device. One method involves a cross-platform service at the client device receiving a plurality of requests for data for one or more records at the database system from the native application, aggregating a subset of the plurality of requests into a batched request, providing the batched request to the database system over a network, receiving a batched response to the batched request from the database system over the network, and for each request of the subset of the plurality of requests of the batched request, mapping a respective data set of the batched response to a respective request and providing the respective data set to the application extension in response to the respective request via the native application.

Abstract: Database systems and methods are provided for updating a graphical user interface (GUI) display generated by an application extension associated with a native application. A method involves a cross-platform service at a client device receiving, from the native application, a request for data associated with a record on behalf of the application extension, retrieving the data associated with the record from a data source, providing the retrieved data to the application extension, via the native application, to generate a component of the GUI display using the retrieved data, monitoring for a change to the data associated with the record, and in response to the change, retrieving updated data associated with the record from the data source and providing the updated data to the application extension via the native application to update the component of the GUI display using the updated data.

Abstract: Database systems and methods are provided for providing data from a database system to a native application at a client device. Metadata indicative of a subset of data fields associated with a configuration of a graphical user interface display is downloaded to a data storage element at the client device. Thereafter, a cross-platform service at the client device receives a request for data associated with a record at the database system from the native application, requests, based on the metadata maintained in the data storage element at the client device, the subset of data fields associated with the record from the database system over the network, and provides the retrieved subset of data fields to the native application to generate the graphical user interface display in accordance with the configuration using the retrieved subset of data fields.

Abstract: Some implementations of the disclosed systems, apparatus, methods and computer program products provide for shipping management of serialized products. In various embodiments, a product transfer record may be created to track the movement of a group of serialized items of a product from one location to another. A product transfer state may be provided for each of the serialized products within the transfer record. The product transfer state may then be updated to match the status of the transfer of the serialized item.

Abstract: Disclosed are some implementations of systems, apparatus, methods and computer program products for handling multiple overflows of content during pagination of a web document. A first tree representing a web document is obtained. A first page element including one or more elements of the first tree is generated, where the elements include a first Document Object Model (DOM) element. Coordinates of the first DOM element within the first page element are calculated. A first context associated with the first DOM element is pushed onto a context stack. An overflow of the first DOM element is detected in relation to the first page element based, at least in part, on the coordinates. Responsive to detecting the overflow, the context stack is added to an overflow list and the first page element is modified such that the first DOM element or portion thereof is removed from the first page element.

Execution of a set of computer-readable instructions configurable to generate a report is initiated. During execution of a first subset of the set of computer-readable instructions associated with a first stage of report generation, at least a first template is applied. A result of the first stage of report generation is ascertained. It is determined whether the first stage of report generation is successfully completed based, at least in part, on application of a first condition to the result of the first stage of report generation. A first indicator of a data structure associated with the set of computer-readable instructions is updated such that the first indicator indicates whether the first stage of report generation is successfully completed.

Abstract: Creating work order plans and steps based on mapped fields is described. A database system receives an input associated with a work order, and then identifies a work plan template object, a work plan instance object, a work step template object, and a work step instance object associated with the work order. The database system identifies work plan fields which are mapped from the work plan template object to the work plan instance object, and work step fields which are mapped from the work step template object to the work step instance object. The database system creates at least one work plan which includes the mapped work plan fields in the work plan instance object and work steps which include the mapped work step fields in the work step instance object. The database system outputs the work order which includes the at least one work plan.

The database system receives a request from a user of the database system to add an additional work plan and/or an additional work step, and then causes the user interface to dynamically update the output of the display fields for the work order and the work plan by adding an additional output of the at least one display field for the additional work plan and/or the additional work step.

Abstract: System, method, and computer product embodiments are described for querying a database using natural language queries (NLQ) to produce actionable results in an answer card. The method allows a user to take further action with the answer card by editing the card contents, manipulating the way data is displayed, or querying the answer results for more details of the data. By the method, the user may continue exploration of the data, use the results to collaborate with others, or build a story from the data in a presentation format, such as a dashboard, while maintaining access to the real-time data of the database through the answer card. System and computer product embodiments implement the method.

Abstract: Embodiments are described for enabling a user to query a database using natural language and receive results without requiring the user to manipulate or know details of the database contents. The user is guided in the creation of the natural language query by suggested predetermined queries from a template. Natural language is parsed using the template. The approach allows a user's query words to be completed automatically from the template as the user inputs the words. The approach further allows the next suggested parts of the query to be automatically typed from the template ahead of the user's cursor. Other features provide feedback to the user for invalid or irrelevant queries that cannot be parsed, including suggesting complete predetermined queries from the template. The approach helps the user focus the query on exactly what the user seeks to learn from the database without complex, process-intensive parsing.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the present invention include a method for determining a dense subset from a group of records using a graphical representation of the group of records, the graphical representation having nodes and edges, a node associated with a record from the group of records, an edge connecting two nodes associated with two related records, wherein a node is associated with a weight corresponding to a number of edges connected to the node, wherein a record is added to the dense subset based on its associated node having a highest weight and a density that satisfies a density threshold, the density being based on the content of the dense subset, and wherein the content of the dense subset is to be processed as including duplicate records.
