    Abstract: An engine system includes an engine provided with a supercharger provided in an intake passage and an exhaust passage, an LPL-type EGR device, an intake manifold placed immediately upstream of the engine, an electric throttle device placed in the intake passage upstream of the intake manifold, a fresh air inflow passage introducing fresh air into the intake passage downstream of the electric throttle device, and a fresh air inflow valve to regulate the fresh air amount. The intake manifold includes a surge tank and branch pipes branching off from the surge tank. The fresh air inflow passage includes an inlet connected to the intake passage upstream of an outlet port of the EGR passage. A fresh air distribution pipe distributing the fresh air to each of the branch pipes of the intake manifold is provided on an outlet side of the fresh air inflow passage.
