  • Patent number: 8967521
Abstract: A filament winding device that optimizes the interval between adjacent fiber bundle guides includes a plurality of helical heads on which fiber bundle guides moving in the direction that is roughly perpendicular to the rotating axis of a liner are radially disposed; and winds a fiber bundle onto the outer circumference surface of the liner by passing the helical heads while rotating the liner. • Publication number: 20150053808
Abstract: A filament winding apparatus includes a tension detecting section, a cutting section and a gripping section. The tension detecting section is arranged on a path of a fiber bundle from a bobbin to a liner, and is configured to detect tension of the fiber bundle between the bobbin and the liner. The cutting section is configured to cut the fiber bundle connected to the bobbin. The gripping section is arranged upstream with respect to the cutting section in a travelling direction of the fiber bundle, and is configured to grip the fiber bundle cut by the cutting section. At this time, in a case where the tension of the fiber bundle detected by the tension detecting section is excessive, the cutting section cuts the fiber bundle and the gripping section grips a yarn end of the fiber bundle connected to the bobbin.

  • Patent number: 8955787
Abstract: A filament winding apparatus that prevents excessive unraveling of a fiber bundle due to variations in the speed at which the fiber bundle is wound includes a hoop winding device having a wrapping table, a bobbin support unit, a braking unit, a slack removal unit, a detector, and a controller. The slack removal unit absorbs slack caused by the difference between winding and unraveling speeds of the fiber bundle. The detector detects whether the amount of slack absorbed is equal to or greater than or is less than, a predetermined amount. When the amount of slack is equal to or greater than the predetermined amount, the controller increases the braking force of the braking unit for braking rotation of a bobbin. When the amount of slack is less than the predetermined amount, the controller reduces the braking force of the braking unit for braking rotation of the bobbin.

  • Publication number: 20140263802
Abstract: A filament winding apparatus that connects a driven shaft to a driving shaft automatically includes a rotation unit which can rotate a driving shaft 13 forward or reversely, a control unit which can control start or stop of the rotation of the driving shaft, and connection units which can connect a driven shaft attached to a liner to the driving shaft when phases of the driven and driving shafts are in agreement with each other. A fiber bundle is wound onto an outer peripheral surface of the liner by rotating the liner. A detection unit detects the phase of the driven or the driving shaft. Based on information obtained from the detection unit at the time of connecting the driven shaft to the driving shaft, the control unit rotates the driving shaft and adjusts the phase thereof to make the phases of the driven and driving shafts in agreement with each other.
