  • Patent number: 4762904
Abstract: A window glass holder part with a window glass holding groove and a mounting leg part are formed integrally from a plastic material. The inner surfaces defining the holding grooves are formed with adhesive filling grooves facing each other on the opposite sides of the window glass and are open at one end to the outer surface of the holder and also with non-perpendicular prevention walls for preventing the upward displacement of the adhesive filling the adhesive filling grooves. The bottom of the holding groove is formed with a thin groove parallel to the holding groove to permit migration of the adhesive into the thin groove.

  • Patent number: 4679958
Abstract: A ball joint comprises a ball stud containing a ball at the leading end thereof, a socket incorporating therein a receptacle for admitting of the ball, and a resilient metallic ring containing a gap therein and adapted to retain the ball rotatably within the receptacle. The receptacle is formed of a main body and an auxiliary body adapted to be attached fast to the main body, and at least the main body is formed of a plastic material. Retention of the ball within the socket is accomplished by setting the resilient metallic ring in position within the receptacle before attachment of the auxiliary body to the main body, driving the ball into the receptacle thereby causing the equator of the ball to widen the gap in the resilient metallic ring and slide past the ring, and consequently enabling the ring to get hold of the ball.

  • Patent number: 4547108
Abstract: A trim cover clip comprising a hollow tube made of a plastic substance, containing in the wall of the hollow tube at least one slit having the shape of three sides of a rectangle and thereby enclosing therein an engaging piece possessing a free end, and having the inner wall of the engaging piece corrugated to form teeth capable of engaging with the thread on the bolt being passed through the inner hole of the hollow tube is improved by having the engaging piece formed aslant inwardly enough for the free end thereof to thrust deeply into the inner wall of the hollow tube.

  • Patent number: 4526333
Abstract: Disclosed is a device for holding a linear article on a support body, consisting of a pair of plastic counterparts each comprising a base, an article holding means integrally provided on the upper surface of the base, a notched rod integrally provided on the upper surface of the base and extending outward from one front corner of the base, a guide channel having a catch projection therein and extending inward from the other front corner of the base, and an engaging leg integrally provided on the undersurface of the base. In use a pair of plastic counterparts are engaged with each other by inserting the notched rod of each counterpart into the guide channel of the other counterparts, and the counterparts thus engaged are placed across the width of a support plate with the legs of the counterparts abutting the opposite edges of the support plate.

  • Patent number: 4406557
Abstract: A link rod connector is formed to have two sections connected by a resilient hinge and each section is provided with a semicylindrical leg portion having a resilient catch. In use, the sections are closed onto each other to retain a link rod therebetween in such a manner that the link rod is rotatable within the sections but cannot be extracted therefrom, and then the cylindrical leg formed by the semicylindrical leg portions is inserted into a hole in a link arm so that the link rod is rotatable with respect thereto.

  • Patent number: 4079484
Abstract: Disclosed is a binding clip which comprises an elastic filamentous portion approximately in the shape of the Greek letter ".OMEGA." (omega) and head portions possessed of mutually engageable means attached one each to the extremities of said filamentous portion. After a linear article has been encircled by the filamentous portion of said binding clip, the head portion thereof is brought into inseparable engagement by winding the head portion for thereby twisting the ends parts of the filamentous portion around each other and coupling the mutually engageable means with each other.

  • Patent number: 3954344
Abstract: Disclosed is an improvement in a coupling mechanism for uniting two plates comprising a coupling member and associated apertures in the plates wherein the coupling member comprises a head portion and two legs integrally connected to the head portion and each having a stepped engaging portion on the periphery thereof, whereby when the two legs are inserted in the apertures of the two plates and rotated by 90.degree., the stepped engaging portions catch some selected parts of the circumference edge of the aperture of one of the plates, and clamp these plates in cooperation with the head portion, which is pushed against the other plate. The coupling mechanism according to this invention further comprises means to regulate the rotation angle of the shank of the coupling member at 90.degree., thus preventing the shank of the coupling member from overrunning the stop position at which the stepped portions catch selected parts of the circumference edge of the aperture of one of the plates to be coupled.
