  • Publication number: 20130032996
Abstract: An image forming apparatus is provided that can surely position a unit in an apparatus body with a simple configuration where the number of components is small. A drawing apparatus, which draws a sheet feeding cassette as a unit to a predetermined position of the apparatus body to position it, includes : a leaf spring that is an elastic member to jump-buckle; an engaging unit disposed in the leaf spring; and an engaged unit engaged with the engaging unit. When the unit is loaded on the apparatus body, the engaging unit engages the engaged unit, the elastic member jump-buckles, and accordingly the unit is drawn to the predetermined position of the apparatus body.

  • Publication number: 20120327411
Abstract: A spectrophotometer has a specimen cell; a light source unit for emitting light to the specimen cell; a photodetector for detecting the light that passed through the specimen cell; a light-shielding unit for blocking the light from impinging on the photodetector at predetermined periods; a memory unit for storing output strength signals detected by the photodetector; and a controller for calculating transmittance or absorbance based on output strength signal S of the incidence duration and output strength signal DS of the light-blocked duration stored in the memory unit. The incidence duration and light-blocked duration occur in this sequence in a single period. The controller calculates the true output strength signal sN of the Nth period removed of the effects of output strength signal SN?1 of the incidence duration of the (N?1)th period that are included in the output strength signal SN of the incidence duration of the Nth period.

  • Publication number: 20120319589
Abstract: A lamp drive device L is provided that can both light a lamp 1 and sustain a discharge by applying a trigger voltage while a direct current voltage is supplied from a power supply circuit 7a to the electrodes of lamp 1 before the start of discharge. The device includes a reference amount-of-change storage unit 21 for storing a threshold value T for the amount of change in the electrode voltage before and after start of discharge, a difference calculation unit 11 for calculating the difference (A?B) between the voltage monitor value B after the start of discharge and the voltage monitor value A before the start of discharge, and a lighting status determination unit 12 for determining the lighting status by comparing the difference (A?B) and the threshold value T and making the determination based on the change in voltage before and after the discharge.

  • Patent number: 8155576
Abstract: The invention is to provide a miniaturized sheet processing apparatus in that a conveying length a conveying distance need not be increased even though the number of sheets per bundle increases. A glue applying bookbinder that partially glues sheets and performs a pressing process to form a sheet bundle. The glue applying bookbinder includes a processing tray that stacks sheets, a glue applying portion that applies a glue on the sheets on the processing tray, and pressing portions that press the sheets on the processing tray. The glue applying portion is arranged such that the glue applying portion can be moved from a first standby position outside the sheets stacked on the stacking portion to a second standby position, different from the first standby position, outside the sheets through an upper surface of the sheets, and the pressing portions are moved integrally with the glue applying portion.
