    Abstract: A water-based ink for ink-jet printing, including a pigment, water-insoluble crosslinked polymer particles, an organic solvent, and water. The water-insoluble crosslinked polymer particles are constituted of a polymer A having a crosslinked structure, which includes carboxy groups and has an acid value of not less than 45 mgKOH/g and not more than 180 mgKOH/g. The ink includes alkali metal ions in an amount of not less than 15 mol % and not more than 65 mol %, and ammonium ions in an amount of not less than 55 mol % and not more than 145 mol %, both on the basis of a whole molar amount of the carboxy groups of the polymer A.
