Abstract: A tool to facilitate latching of an electrical connector to a mating electrical connector comprises a main shaft and a tool head extending at an angle from the main shaft. The tool head includes a wedge which is insertable between a housing and a latch arm of the electrical connector, wherein the wedge can be urged forwardly to facilitate the latching of the electrical connector to the mating electrical connector.

Abstract: An electrical connector includes a dielectric housing having a latch arm which is connected to the housing by a tubular hinge that is integrally molded with the housing and with the latch arm. The latch arm extends from the housing in a forward direction, and an axis of the tubular hinge extends transverse to the forward direction. A locking arm is connected to the latch arm and is cooperable with the housing to exert tension on the latch arm when the latch arm is engaged with a mating electrical connector. The locking arm has a hook portion that engages an inclined surface of the housing to facilitate tensioning of the latch arm.

Abstract: A panel mount electrical connector has a flange (24) and a locking ramp (40) forward of the flange. The flange and the locking ramp are arranged to be disposed on opposite sides of a mounting panel when the connector is disposed in a cutout of the panel. The locking ramp is inclined with respect to the flange such that the panel will become captured between the locking ramp and the flange when the connector is twisted in the cutout.

Abstract: A seal for use with an electrical connector having a flange which is dimensioned to confront a mounting panel around a cutout in the mounting panel comprises one-piece seal member including a conductor seal and a flange seal. The conductor seal is configured to sealingly engage conductors extending from the electrical connector, and the flange seal is configured to seal between the mounting panel and the flange when the electrical connector is mounted in the mounting panel.

Abstract: An electrical connector comprises a housing defining a plurality of cavities which extend into the housing through a face thereof, and a seal member mountable on the face of the housing. The seal member is a unitary body which includes a flange and a plurality of plugs extending axially from one side of the flange. The plugs are arrayed in correspondence with the plurality of cavities and are dimensioned for sealing engagement in respective ones of the cavities. The seal member has a plurality of openings extending through the flange and through respective ones of the plugs. The openings are dimensioned to permit insertion of respective conductors through the openings and into the cavities when the seal member is mounted on the housing, and withdrawal of the conductors back out through the openings.
