  • Patent number: 7949770
Abstract: A data management server that can prevent data stored in a user's folder on the server from being used by others when the user is not working, even in a client-server network environment. The data management server that manages data that can be used by multiple terminal devices, and constitutes a storage device in which separate storage areas are allocated for each user. A determination unit determines which of the terminal devices is in a state in which it is able to access the data management server. When a terminal device issues a request to access a separate storage area of the storage device, if it is determined by the determination unit that the terminal device of a user associated with the separate storage area is in a state in which it can access the data management server, an access management unit permits the requesting terminal device to access the data stored in the separate storage area.

  • Patent number: 7656566
Abstract: An image processing apparatus for outputting an image by a printer or a display is provided, in which color reproducibility in the image output of plural pages becomes uniform. The apparatus comprises an image memory for memorizing image data of all pages of one output job that is given to an output device, decision portion for deciding whether the image data of all pages are data within a color reproduction range of the output device or not. A color compression process is performed for the image data of all pages uniformly only when it is decided that the image data of all pages are not data within the color reproduction range of the output device.

  • Patent number: 7545527
Abstract: An image processing apparatus has first and second processors for performing first and second processings for image data received by a communication device. A data processing apparatus instructs for the image processing apparatus to execute the first and second processings for image data. When the image data and the instruction therefor are received, the image processing apparatus performs the first and second processings, and sends the image data processed by the second processor to the data processing apparatus, which replaces the received file with the transmitted file.

  • Patent number: 7499192
Abstract: A process cartridge having a nonvolatile memory for storing prescribed information corresponding to addresses is detachably attached to a main body of an image forming device. The nonvolatile memory stores first destination information of “shipment destination” data to be used to control the printing operation by a control system of the main body of the image forming device and second destination information of “lot No.” data not to be used to control the printing operation by the control system. The nonvolatile memory allows the image forming device to perform an appropriate printing operation without changing a program of the main body of the image forming device even when a new destination is arisen for a reason of production management, marketing etc. after beginning to put the image forming device on the market.

  • Patent number: 6891639
Abstract: An apparatus, a method and a system for image processing with a color correction device are provided in which the number of times of automatic execution of calibration is reduced and the performance of an image output apparatus is used adequately. The apparatus includes a color space conversion portion 110 for converting input image data D1 into data D1s of a standard color space and a reproduction range decision portion 111 for deciding whether the input image data D1s that were converted into the standard color space are within a reference range of a color reproduction in an image output. If it is decided that the input image data are out of the reference range, the calibration is performed so that the color reproduction range is made close to the reference range.
