Abstract: A side airbag apparatus includes a side airbag having a plurality of partitioned chambers therein to be inflated and deployed in a space between a side wall portion of a body of a motor vehicle and an occupant seated on a seat disposed inside the body. An inflator has an approximately cylindrical shape and blows gas out for inflating and deploying the side airbag from one side in a longitudinal direction of the inflator. A cylindrical member is disposed in a manner so as to cover the one side in the longitudinal direction of the inflator and has a squeezing portion for restricting a flow path of the gas blown out from the inflator.

Abstract: The invention provides a method for producing a partition wall for a color filter having: forming a photosensitive resin layer containing a radical polymerizable monomer, a photopolymerization initiator, a binder and a colorant on at least one surface of a substrate; and exposing the photosensitive resin layer to light at an illumination intensity of 50 mW/cm2 or more in a pattern shape and developing the photosensitive resin layer to form a partition wall that separates color pixel portions, wherein liquid droplets are applied to form the color pixel portions. The invention further provides a substrate having the partition wall for a color filter, a color filter for display element having the substrate and color pixel portions, a method for producing the color filter, and a display device having the color filter for a display element and a method for producing the display device.

Abstract: An inflator securing structure for securing an inflator having substantially cylindrical shape to a retainer in an airbag system includes a fixed shaft having a substantially D-shaped cross section and formed at one end of the inflator along an axial direction of the inflator; and a locking structure forming a locking hole having a substantially D shape and formed in the retainer so that the locking hole is engaged with the fixed shaft. One of the fixed shaft and the locking hole has at least one groove, and other of the fixed shaft and the locking hole has at least one convex portion so as to engage with the groove.

Abstract: To provide an occupant leg restraining device and a retainer capable of improving flexibility in the layout of a gas generator. An occupant leg restraining device includes a knee airbag 18 that expands in front of legs of an occupant in a vehicle; a gas generator 20 that inflates the knee airbag 18 by ejecting gas; and a retainer 16 that accommodates and holds the gas generator 20 and the folded knee airbag 18. The retainer 16 has outlets 16h adjacent to both ends of the gas generator 20 in a longitudinal direction of the gas generator 20 that is accommodated in the retainer 16.
