Respective first divisional areas of a first divisional area group formed by division of the input image correspond to respective second divisional areas of a second divisional area group in the output image in the distortion correction. Here, the error detection circuit detects an occlusion error in a display image of the head-up display apparatus based on the output image data of the respective second divisional areas.
