  • Publication number: 20150026507
Abstract: It is intended to shorten the time required for a path recalculation and a path switching upon occurrence of a failure. A path generation unit of a transport control server (TCS) S-1 generates the normal path information in accordance with the topology information of a network and the resource information which are set. Also, the path generation unit generates in advance the backup path information for occurrence of the failure based on the prediction topology information and the prediction resource information which have been modified in accordance with a predicted failure position. The path generation unit stores the generated backup path information in a data storage unit. A path information notification unit of the TCS (S-1) notifies nodes N of the generated normal path information. A failure information acquisition unit of the TCS (S-1) detects the occurrence of the failure.

  • Publication number: 20150019755
Abstract: A node, when an object request message includes a location ID of a destination, sets the location ID of the destination as a search key to search the location-ID forwarding table thereof and forwards the object request message to a node that is a next hop obtained as the search result; and when the object request message does not include the location ID of the destination, sets the object ID included in the object request message as a search key to search the object-ID forwarding table thereof to forward the object request message to the node that is the next hop obtained as the search result.

  • Publication number: 20140355426
Abstract: Transport control server (TCS) in a network system including a first backup path (FBP) with predetermined first bandwidth (PFB) secured or reserved between any node pair, second backup path (SBP) with predetermined second bandwidth (PSB) secured or reserved between any node pair, the FBP and SBP sharing a link, each node forwards data according to path setting information. The TCS including: a storage section storing, for each path, an identifier for each node through which the path passes; and a control processing section performing: upon switchover of first active path to FBP, judging whether PSB of SBP can be secured or reserved by the bandwidth of the shared link through which the FBP passes, by referring to the storage section; if not, identifying nodes through which the SBP passes, by referring to the storage section; and transmitting a setting change notification to delete the SBP to the identified nodes.

  • Patent number: 8862700
Abstract: A data synchronization system transfers data between multiple data synchronization servers connected to a network path. The data synchronization server calculates a transfer delay on a network path involved in the transfer of data of multiple applications in an application server to another data synchronization server, predicts a time at which the transfer delay will exceed the requested delay of each application, and controls the transmission rate of data for each application so that times, at which the transfer delays will exceed the requested delays of all applications, become the same. In this way, the data synchronization system controls the data synchronization of applications between remotely installed distributed data centers so that the requested delay of each application is satisfied as much as possible.

  • Patent number: 8811149
Abstract: A transport control server (TCS) identifies a backup path B switched over to from an active path A due to a path change or a fault, based on information in a path change notification or a fault notification. The TCS identifies a backup path C affected by the switchover from the active path to the backup path. The TCS identifies nodes in which a setting change to delete the backup path C is needed and nodes in which a backup path D should be set up as an alternative to the backup path C and transmits a setting change notification to these nodes.

  • Patent number: 8605593
Abstract: A transport control server coupled to a plurality of nodes in a network through which a plurality of traffics passes through is provided. The transport control server is configured to receive bandwidth information from each of the nodes when the traffics pass through the nodes. For each of the traffics, the transport control server calculates bandwidths at an entry edge node and at an exit edge node based on the received bandwidth information. The transport control server defines as a first traffic, based on the calculated bandwidths at the entry edge node and the exit edge node, a traffic having a discarded bandwidth that is larger than a first predetermined bandwidth. Also, the transport control server defines as a second traffic, based on the received bandwidth information, a first traffic having a bandwidth at the two or more nodes that exceeds a specified second bandwidth.

  • Patent number: 8588217
Abstract: A transport control server (100) wherein a conversion table including a pre-conversion identifier and a post-conversion identifier, and a conversion type indicating the aggregate/transfer of a path are previously stored for each two segments that are connected to each other. When devices (111, 118) at the endpoints of the path are specified, the transport control server (100) calculates the route between the devices to identify one or a plurality of gateway nodes (112 to 117) on the route. Also, the transport control server (100) acquires from a storage unit the pre-conversion identifier, post-conversion identifier, and conversion type corresponding to two segments that are connected by the identified nodes for each of the identified nodes, and sets the acquired identifiers and conversion type to each of the nodes.

  • Patent number: 8547850
Abstract: A transport control server, a network system, and an aggregated path setting method for avoiding congestion on the bypass destination route when an aggregated path consisting of a group of paths was bypassed (diverted) to a bypass destination route. Edge nodes measure the traffic information flowing along each path and notify the transport control server. The transport control server calculates the available capacity of bypass destination routes for each aggregated path based on this traffic information. After receiving a path add request, the transport control server assigns additional paths to the aggregated path so that the aggregated path traffic band that was assigned additional paths, does not exceed the available capacity on the bypass path. The transport control server sends an aggregated path set message to the edge nodes. The edge node complies with the aggregated path set message received from the transport control server and sets the aggregated path.

  • Publication number: 20130242804
Abstract: When a path which is a network communication path is calculated, the amount of path calculation is reduced while satisfying the requirement of the path. The network is logically divided into a plurality of calculation domains, and the divided calculation domains are hierarchically managed, and the path attribute of a path within the calculation domain of a lower hierarchical layer is held as a link attribute of an abstract link of a higher hierarchical layer.

  • Patent number: 8451774
Abstract: To control the communication quality on the terminal basis without making the base station more complicated, it is provided a communication system, comprising at least one computer and a gateway that is connected to the at least one computer through a first network. The gateway is connected to at least one terminal through a second network. The at least one terminal performs communications with the at least one computer via the gateway. The gateway estimates quality of the communications between the gateway and the at least one computer in the first network; and determines a priority for the communications between the gateway and the at least one terminal in the second network according to the estimated quality of the communications in the first network.

  • Patent number: 8438215
Abstract: In a cache control assuming plural user terminals accessing identical content, cache delete priority assignment is performed from a position where a user finished playback based on whether the user intends to view the content later. A cache control server is provided, and a cache delete inhibit span is determined based on a playback stop position or a normal speed playback time. A cache server deletes the cache based on the delete inhibit span received from the cache control server. Traffic of the core network due to re-cache can thus be reduced.
