Abstract: In order to facilitate understanding of the content of a presentation in a conference, an MFP, in receipt of presentation page information from a PC operated by a presenter, transmits presentation page data specified by the presentation page information among page data for a plurality of pages included in data to PCs operated by the participants, and in receipt of requested page information from a specific participant apparatus among the PCs operated by the participants, transmits requested page data specified by the requested page information to the specific participant apparatus. As to the PC as the specific participant apparatus, upon acceptance of designation of requested page data, it transmits requested page information to the MFP, and in receipt of the requested page data from the MFP, displays an image of the presentation page data and an image of the requested page data simultaneously.

Abstract: In order to easily display data on a display device, an MFP connected to a plurality of television conference terminal devices each displaying data stores device information in an HDD for a respective one of the television conference terminal devices, to store a format in which the corresponding terminal device inputs data. The MFP includes a data acquiring portion to acquire data, an output destination accepting portion to accept an output destination of data, a conversion portion, when one of the television conference terminal devices is accepted as an output destination device which is the output destination of data, to convert a format of the acquired data to the format stored corresponding to the output destination device in the device information, and a communication control portion to output the data converted by the conversion portion to the output destination device.

Abstract: A device driver customizing method that is performed when a second driver is installed in an information processing device in which one or more first drivers each for controlling an image processing device have been already installed, the driver customizing method comprising: a searching step of comparing items included in first configuration data of any of the first drivers, which have been already configured by a user, with items included in second configuration data of the second driver, which are to be newly configured by the user, and thereby searching the first configuration data for an item corresponding to one of the items included in the second configuration data; and a configuration step of configuring the one of the items included in the second configuration data to have a same value as a value given to the corresponding item, if the corresponding item has been found by the searching step.

Abstract: When a destination management device requests an address book of each user, a data transmission device transmits the address book to the destination management device. The destination management device stores the address book received from the data transmission device. If location information of destination information is included in the address book, the destination management device transmits the location information to the data transmission device. The data transmission device transmits the location information to an LDAP server to request the destination information. Upon receipt of the destination information, the data transmission device transmits the destination information to the destination management device.

Abstract: After a print request is made from a personal computer to a multifunction peripheral, when a user who logs into the multifunction peripheral instructs an execution of the print request in the multifunction peripheral, the multifunction peripheral requests the personal computer to transmit image data. Then, the personal computer transmits the requested image data to the multifunction peripheral. The multifunction peripheral executes the printing using the received image data. When the printing is completed, the multifunction peripheral transmits a completion notification indicating that the printing is completed to the personal computer. When receiving the completion notification, the personal computer transmits a completion notification having the same content as the received completion notification to the multifunction peripheral.

Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a request information reception portion that receives a request to execute an image-related process relating to an image from another image processing apparatus and obtains limited functions information from another image processing apparatus relating to a right of a user that specified the request to use a function, a substitute allowance determining portion determining whether the user has the right to use the function necessary to execute the image-related process of the request, based on the obtained limited functions information, and a substitute process command portion controlling each portion of the image processing apparatus to execute the image-related process when it is determined that the user has the right, and not to execute that image-related process when it is determined that the user does not have such right.

Abstract: In order to charge a proper amount of money to the transmitting source and the destination, an MFP accepts transmitting source specifying information for identifying a transmitting user, destination specifying information for specifying a data destination, specifying of the data, and a processing procedure defining processing executed with respect to the specified data. The MFP acquires apparatus identification information for identifying a destination apparatus corresponding to the destination and capacity information defining processing executable by the destination apparatus. The MFP then compares the processing procedure with acquired restriction information. When the processing defined by the capacity information does not include part of the processing defined by the processing procedure, the MFP charges a processing charge for the data in a divided manner to the transmitting user and the destination user.

Abstract: An image processing apparatus is provided with a box data management portion that manages boxes where document files as shared data are saved, a document update detecting potion that detects an updated document file among the document files saved in boxes, an RSS data accumulating portion that stores file update data indicating identification information of the box thus detected, a date and time when the update has been performed, a user who has performed the update and updated contents, the file update data being shown in the RSS format, and an update information displaying portion that presents a user with the file update data of the document file satisfying conditions.

Abstract: An image processing apparatus is provided with an original data management portion that stores original image data for reproducing an original image, a mask extraction portion that acquires a mask image executed in the original image written on paper, and a printing unit that prints an image obtained by overlaying the original image and the mask image extracted by the extraction portion. The original image is reproduced based on the original image data, which is called from the original data management portion based on an identifier for identifying the original image written on that paper. Thus, it is possible to copy an original without causing image quality to deteriorate, and with information concealed.

Where the job is one in which the data therefor is to be output multiple times, the controller selects the storage destination memory for the data used for output of the second copy onward in accordance with whether or not an expansion memory is mounted, and stores the data in the selected storage destination memory. The output unit reads out the data from the selected storage destination memory and performs output of the second copy onward.
