  • Publication number: 20060139354
Abstract: An operation instruction device includes a display control unit, an accepting unit, and an executing unit. The display control unit repeatedly displays, on a display screen, at least one animation indicative of contents of an operation to be executed. The accepting unit accepts designation of an animation made by a user from among the animation displayed. The executing unit executes, based on the designation, an operation indicated by designated animation. The animation visually indicates the operation by showing the operation being performed by a person or an anthropomorphic animal appearing as the operator.

  • Patent number: 6882326
Abstract: A portable information terminal 1 includes a primary terminal 2 and a secondary terminal 3 which are combinable and separable from each other, and individually have displays 2A, 3Ba, operation keys 2B, 3Aa, RAMs 24, 36, antennas 26, 37, and CPUs 20, 30. The RAMs 24, 36 of the respective terminals 1, 2 store application programs and the CPUs 20, 30 individually control to operate a required function and display an image on the displays 2A, 3Ba. The CPUs 20, 30 are connected through communication between the antennas 26, 37 to systematically share an operation for a required function and to display images associated with each other on the respective displays 2A and 3Ba.

  • Publication number: 20040240056
Abstract: The display apparatus (1) is provided with: a plurality of displaying devices (11, 12) disposed in tandem on a view line of an observer, for displaying a plurality of images relating to a plurality of display objects in an overlapped manner on the view line; an output level control device (21) for designating an output brightness level of each of the plurality of images, depending on both (i) a depth position of each of the plurality of display objects, the depth position being defined between or among the plurality of displaying devices and (ii) contents of each of the plurality of display objects; and an output level distribution device (22) for distributing an input video signal for displaying the plurality of display objects, as an output video signal having the designated output brightness level, to each of the plurality of displaying devices.

  • Publication number: 20020198006
Abstract: A portable information terminal includes a manipulation part 2 and a display part 3 which are coupled with the capability to change in position relative to each other. A rotational position detection sensor 14 is provided in a rotation supporting element 4 for coupling the manipulation part 2 and the display part 3. Each of application programs stored in a memory card loaded in a loading element 2C is corresponded to each of the preset relative positions of the manipulation part 2 and the display part 3 which are coupled to each other. The application program is automatically activated in response to the corresponding relative position of the manipulation part 2 and display part 3 that is detected by the rotational position detection sensor 14.

  • Publication number: 20020198652
Abstract: A portable information terminal includes a main terminal 2 having a RAM 24 and a communication circuit 27, and a secondary terminal 3 having a communication circuit 38, a RAM 36 and a CPU 30. The communication circuit 38 of the secondary terminal 3 and the communication circuit 27 of the primary terminal 2 are communicated under control of the CPU 30, for transmission of application programs and data stored in the RAM 24 of the primary terminal 2, to the secondary terminal 3. Then the transmitted application program and data are stored in the RAM 36 of the secondary terminal 3 to form functions to be installed in the secondary terminal 3. The secondary terminal 3 is communicated with the communication circuit 27 of the primary terminal 2 to transmit data accumulated on the secondary terminal 3, to the primary terminal 2. Then the transmitted data is stored in the RAM 24 of the primary terminal 2.
