  • Patent number: 10475159
Abstract: A first enlargement circuit enlarges an image of a hierarchical layer on a lower side among images of hierarchical layers in which an image of a lower hierarchical layer is a reduced image generated by reducing an image of an upper hierarchical layer. A region extraction circuit extracts a region according to a size of the block of the hierarchical layer on the upper side from a region in the image enlarged by the first enlargement circuit that is at least wider than the block of the hierarchical layer on the upper side. A first hierarchical addition circuit combines an image of the region extracted by the region extraction circuit to the block of the hierarchical layer on the upper side block by block for the blocks.

  • Publication number: 20190238812
Abstract: There is provided an image processing apparatus. A memory includes a first storage area and a second storage area. A transfer unit transfers a first LUT to the first storage area and transfers a second LUT to the second storage area. An image processing unit alternately uses the first LUT and the second LUT stored in the memory to sequentially perform an image process on a plurality of images. The transfer unit updates the first LUT within a period from a time when the first LUT is used by the image processing unit to a time when the first LUT is used for the next time and updates the second LUT within a period from a time when the second LUT is used by the image processing unit to a time when the second LUT is used for the next time.

  • Patent number: 10250829
Abstract: An image processing apparatus comprises: a first circuit; and a second circuit connected to the first circuit; wherein the first circuit receives image data obtained by an image sensor including a vertical light-shielded region and an effective region, and applies, on image data of a first region which is a portion of the effective region of the image data, predetermined image processing by using image data of the vertical light-shielded region, the first circuit sets a second region and consecutively transmits to the second circuit image data of the vertical light-shielded region and unprocessed image data of the second region, and the second circuit receives the transmitted image data, and applies the predetermined image processing to the received image data by using the received image data of the vertical light-shielded region.

  • Patent number: 10136070
Abstract: An image capturing apparatus comprises an image capturing unit, a memory configured to store image data that is output at a predetermined framerate from the image capturing unit, a write unit configured to write the image data to the memory, a readout unit configured to read out the image data stored in the memory, a display unit configured to display an image based on the image data read out by the readout unit, and a control unit configured to control reading out of the image data by the readout unit, wherein the control unit performs control such that a frame of image data read out by the readout unit differs between when electronic zoom is operating and when electronic zoom is not operating.

  • Patent number: 8670063
Abstract: A focus detection apparatus comprises: an image sensor that receives images that are formed by light that passes through different pupil regions of a photographing optical system including a focus lens, and outputs a pair of image signals; a control unit that controls to acquire a pair of image signals from the image sensor at first and second lens positions of the focus lens; a conversion unit that, by multiplying a shift amount between a pair of images representing the pair of image signals by a conversion coefficient, converts the shift amount to a defocus amount; and a calculation unit that calculates the conversion coefficient based on displacement amounts of respective ones of the pair of images representing the pair of image signals acquired at the first and second lens positions, and a displacement amount of the focus lens from the first lens position to the second lens position.
