  • Patent number: 9828569
Abstract: This relates to granular laundry detergent products characterized by efficient mass and volume compaction, fast dissolution or dispersion and enhanced suds profile, which are particularly useful for hand-washing fabric under suboptimal washing conditions.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 13, 2014
Date of Patent: November 28, 2017
Assignee: The Procter & Gamble Company
Inventors: Paul R. Mort, III, Hong Sing Tan, Rui Shen, Daitao Geng
  • Publication number: 20170321169
Abstract: A cleaning composition, preferably a granular laundry detergent composition, contains 1.5 wt % to 10 wt % of soap particles characterized by a particle size distribution with from 35 wt % to 100 wt % of soap particles having particle sizes ranging from about 125 microns to about 355 microns. Soap particles with such a particle size distribution are surprisingly more effective in boosting suds volume of the cleaning composition during a fabric washing cycle.

  • Patent number: 9487737
Abstract: This invention relates to structured particles suitable for use in granular laundry detergent compositions, which contain an alkoxylated polyalkyleneimine in combination with a water-soluble alkali metal carbonate and silica and which contains little or no surfactant.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 9, 2015
Date of Patent: November 8, 2016
Assignee: The Procter & Gamble Company
    Inventors: HongSing Tan, Daitao Geng
  • Publication number: 20160272926
Abstract: This relates to structured detergent particles with high-level surfactant activity, which contains about 50-90 wt % of a C10-C20 linear alkyl benzene sulphonate, about 10-50 wt % of a hydrophilic silica, and about 0-35 wt % of a water-soluble salt of an alkaline metal. Such structured detergent particles demonstrate better flowability and less moisture uptake, and are therefore particularly useful for forming free-flowing finished detergent products that are less vulnerable to caking over time.

  • Publication number: 20150291913
Abstract: This relates to a composite detergent granule having a core particle covered by a coating layer, as well as a granular detergent composition containing the same. The core particle contains a mixture of silica, a C10-C20 linear alkyl benzene sulphonate (LAS) and optionally a C10-C20 linear or branched alkylethoxy sulfate (AES). The coating layer contains AES. Such a composite detergent granule is characterized by high surfactant activity, improved water hardness tolerance, fast surfactant release, and superior dissolution profile.
