Abstract: The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for detecting a salient region of an image. Classification processing is obtained by means of pre-training, so as to obtain a classification label, where the classification label is used to indicate a salience detection algorithm for detecting a salient region of the test image. Salience detection is performed on the test image by using the salience detection algorithm indicated by the classification label, so as to obtain the salient region of the test image. Because a salience detection algorithm with the best detection effect is acquired by using the image feature vector of the test image, to detect the salient region of the test image, accuracy of salience detection is improved.

Abstract: A target detection method and apparatus based on online training. According to this method, an Nth frame of image is obtained; target detection and/or target tracking is performed on the Nth frame of image to obtain at least one Nth target area; and then, online training is performed on a training detection unit by using an (N?1)th target area, where the training detection unit stores all target areas that are detected in a first frame of image to an (N?1)th frame of image, so that online parallel processing on a detected target and the training detection unit is implemented, and multiple target samples are obtained according a user requirement; therefore, a target diversification requirement of an intelligent terminal user is satisfied, and further, a relatively accurate target area can be obtained according to a current user requirement.

Because a salience detection algorithm with the best detection effect is acquired by using the image feature vector of the test image, to detect the salient region of the test image, accuracy of salience detection is improved.
