  • Patent number: 5769627
Abstract: A storage device 23 for storing a raw material to be calcined is provided at a position above a kiln cover 1, and the storage device 23 is connected to a preheating space 22 in such a manner as to be capable of dropwise supplying the raw material into the preheating space 22 by means of a raw-material supplying pipe 26. An airtight supplying mechanism 24 for dropwise supplying the raw material in a state in which the influx of air from the outside is prevented is provided between the storage device 23 and the raw-material supplying pipe 26.

  • Patent number: 4414001
Abstract: A method for thermally decomposing and gasifying either liquid or solid combustible material in a single reactor filled with working medium in a high active fluidization, said reactor being provided with two partitions, one of which is extended downwards upto the lower portion of the reactor, while the other is vertically extended at the lower and middle portions thereof substantially at a right angle to the first partition, whereby the reactor is divided into two sections, that is, thermal decomposition and gasification section and combustion and heating section, so that thermal decomposing and gasifying are performed by way of supplying the combustible raw material into the downwardly travelling working medium and at the same time supplying steam thereinto for generating and maintaining the high active fluidization of the working medium in the thermal decomposition and gasification section, while burning and heating are performed by way of supplying air or steam mixture gas of oxygen and steam into the upwa

  • Patent number: 4405339
Abstract: A fluidized bed apparatus and a process for the gasification of combustible materials such as biomass heavy hydrocarbon oils and coal. Two or more separate reaction zones connected in series as a closed loop are formed within a tubular housing, through which a bed of particulate heat transfer medium such as sand continuously and successively recirculates while being maintained in the fluidized state. One of the reaction zones serves as a cracking zone for the combustible material and another one of the reaction zones serves as a heat-up zone for thermally regenerating the heat transfer medium by partial or complete combustion of char produced in the cracking zone.

  • Patent number: 3989481
Abstract: A continuous catalytic gasification of heavy hydrocarbon oils with recirculated fluidized catalyst bed. More particularly, it relates to such a process for the gasification in which solid fluidized catalyst having an average particle size of 0.05 to 2mm is recirculated through reaction and regeneration columns in a dense fluidized state, and wherein a heavy hydrocarbon feed stock is contacted with the fluidized catalyst and thermally decomposed and gasified at a temperature of 650.degree. to 1,000.degree.
