  • Patent number: 11692090
Abstract: A polymer composition of cross-linked fluoropolymers is provided, that is generated using a fluoropolymer compatibilizer. The cross-linked fluoropolymers have excellent mechanical and dielectric characteristics at high temperatures, making them useful for such applications as insulation for automotive communications cables and PCB laminates.

  • Publication number: 20230203292
Abstract: A reactive polymer compatibilizer and compatibilized polymer blends are provided. The reactive polymer compatibilizer is generally a copolymer of a fluoropolymer and a non-fluoropolymer that improves the miscibility of fluoropolymers and non-fluoropolymers. The compatibilized polymer blend contain a fluoropolymer, non-fluoropolymer, and reactive polymer compatibilizer. In some embodiments, the reactive polymer compatibilizer may be tailored to achieve desirable characteristics in the compatibilized polymer blends.

  • Publication number: 20220267582
Abstract: A polymer alloy composition including: (a) a fluoropolymer selected from fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP), perfluoroalkoxy alkane (PFA), ethylene tetra-fluoroethylene (ETFE), and a terpolymer of ethylene, tetrafluoroethylene, and hexafluoropropylene (EFEP); (b) a compatibilizing agent; and (c) a polyether imide (PEI) or polyimide (PI). Also disclosed is a method of forming a thermoplastic alloy. The polymer alloy may be used to form various extruded workpieces including, for example, a bag, film, container, filament, food package, coating (such as a coating or jacketing for a wire), powder for powder electrostatic powder coating, powder for dispersions, compression molded and various injection molded parts.
