  • Patent number: 4118132
Abstract: A pin for holding a rotary tiller tine hub in place on a shaft is, in turn, held in place by a wire clip having a straight intermediate section extending parallel to the shaft and received in a transverse hole extending through the pin adjacent an end thereof, the intermediate section extending perpendicular to and joining a straight end section and an arcuate section which embraces and extends about the hub.

  • Patent number: 4062135
Abstract: A combined mechanical and electrical control for the traction drive and collector-impeller drive of a snowblower is provided which operates to disconnect the traction drive when the operator loosens his grip on a traction drive control lever to an extreme drive-disengage position to which it is constantly biased. Further, the control operates to stop the engine in the event that the operator loosens his grip on the level when the collector-impeller drive is engaged. However, the control is arranged such that the operator may manually hold the traction drive control lever in an intermediate drive-disengage position, while leaving the collector-impeller drive engaged without the engine stopping.

  • Patent number: 3931745
Abstract: A drive chain trained about a drive and driven sprockets of different diameters is kept in proper tension by a tensioning device comprising a tensioning member located between the sprockets and extending transversely to the line of centers passing through the axes of rotation of the sprockets. The tensioning member is in the form of a rectangular block defining an opening through which the drive chain passes, opposite sides of the opening being bounded by inwardly facing abutment surfaces respectively engaging the opposite runs of the chain. The tensioning member is biased towards the larger of the sprockets and against the chain through means of a coil compression spring mounted on a guide rod which passes through an opening in the tensioning member and is pivotally mounted on and for swinging movement to the opposite sides of the line of centers of the sprockets at a location between the tensioning member and the smaller of the sprockets.
