  • Patent number: 10231033
Abstract: Receiving and processing out-of-band (OOB) data along with a media stream is disclosed. The received OOB data can be extracted from an OOB data stream and correlated with the media stream using timestamps. Display and other operations can then be performed when a timestamp of the OOB data matches a current timestamp of the media stream. In addition, timestamp notification requests can be received and processed such that when the current timestamp of the media stream matches a requested timestamp, a notification can be transmitted, and data can be received in response to the notification.

  • Patent number: 9669969
Abstract: An openable securing ring for holding a lid or similar closure on a container has a latch mechanism arranged to secure ends of the ring releasably together at a circumferential break. A circumferentially extending recess is provided at a radially inner portion of the latch mechanism so that the radially inner portion is of reduced axial external thickness and provides relief for stable stacking of a first container on top of a second container when the securing ring is attached to the second container. A radially inner edge of a locking lever side wall may lie radially outward of the inner diameter of one ring end to define at least part of the reduced thickness radially inner portion.

  • Publication number: 20170121064
Abstract: A tamper indicating closure cap or overseal comprises a top wall, and an annular top wall skirt attached to a periphery of the top wall. A locking member is attached to the top wall skirt so as to be movable between: i) a first position projecting inwardly with respect to the top wall for application of the closure cap or overseal to a container opening and/or to a container closure plug and ii) a second position projecting inwardly and upwardly towards the top wall, thereby to lock the closure cap or overseal to the container closure and/or closure plug.

  • Patent number: 9382048
Abstract: A retaining band is provided for a container, e.g. for a joint between a flexible plastics pouring spout and a container neck, or for a lidded drum or pail. The band is movable from an expanded position in which it can be placed over the container with a clearance fit, to a constricted position in which the band tightly engages about the container. The band comprises a detent formed by a toothed spigot lockingly receivable in a toothed receptacle that are mechanically interengageable to prevent movement of the band from the constricted position towards the expanded position. The band may be formed as a separate component or as an integral part of a closure, the spout or the container.

  • Patent number: 9304784
Abstract: A user interface presented on a local display eases user discrimination between multiple remote displays connected to a remotely controlled computer, thereby easing selection of remote display(s) for remote viewing on the local display. The user interface can incorporate information indicating physical positional orientations of remote displays relative to each other, such as whether one remote display is physically located to the left of another remote display. The icons can additionally illustrate sizes of the remote displays relative to each other. Each remote display can be represented within a particular user interface icon as a rectangle whose size and position relative to the other remote display(s) reflect that remote display's actual physical size and position relative to those other remote display(s). Different icons can show different subsets of active and inactive remote monitors, and can be selected to activate different subsets of remote monitors for presentation on the local display.

  • Publication number: 20160009456
Abstract: An insert for fitment to a container comprises an internally threaded, through-going opening adapted to receive a complementary, externally threaded plug to form a fluid-tight sealed closure for the container. The insert is preferably of plastics material and comprises an external recessed portion or groove shaped to snap-fittingly retain the insert installed in an aperture formed in the container. The aperture preferably comprises an upstanding collar snap-fitted into the groove for favourable installation, compression and energization of a sealing washer.

  • Patent number: 8973534
Abstract: The invention relates to a pet toy wherein a two-piece molded plastic encasement contains apertures that allow a ball or balls to protrude and extrude as a result of rotation of the top of the toy and fixed raised protrusions which naturally cause a ball to essentially “appear” and “disappear” and an animal must solve by attempting to retrieve the moving ball or balls.

  • Publication number: 20150034651
Abstract: A securing ring for holding a lid or similar closure on a container has a latch lever which is movable between an open position in which first and second ends of the ring are separated and a closed position in which the first and second ends are drawn closer together. The latch lever is connected to the first end of the ring by a flexible connection such as a living hinge or ligament. The latch lever in the closed position is at least partially overlappingly received against the first end of the ring. The latch lever may be connected to the ring second end by a pivotable connection of various forms and preferably operates with an overcentre action. Arrangements for stress transfer directly between the closed ring ends are also described. The resulting latch mechanisms are of low profile and may be moulded from plastics materials.

  • Publication number: 20150014318
Abstract: A securing ring for holding a lid or similar closure on a container includes a ring end having a radially outer surface. A latch lever is mounted by one end to the radially outer surface by a pivotable connection. The radially outer surface is recessed to at least partially accommodate the pivotable connection, thereby reducing the radial profile of the ring latching mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20140196671
Abstract: The invention relates to a novel pet toy that utilizes tactile signals to solve the maze puzzle and is collapsible allowing for compaction during play. Soft sides allow for compaction and reconfigurable inner walls create a potentially new and unique trajectory for the solver of the maze. A treat may be placed inside for reward motivation and to activate sensory triggers of an animal though the toy could be utilized by a human child as well.
