  • Patent number: 9733788
Abstract: Multi-stage cursor control techniques are described herein in which a control algorithm having multiple stages is applied to facilitate fine grained control over cursor movement and positioning. In one or more implementations, monitoring is performed to detect input provided via a controller for a computing device to manipulate a cursor within a user interface for an application. When input is detected, a multi-stage damping algorithm is applied to the detected input. The multi-stage damping algorithm may include both spatial and temporal dampening factors. Movement of the cursor is rendered in accordance with the damped input determined via application of the algorithm. Then, when input to manipulate the cursor is concluded, an attraction sequence is initiated to move the cursor to a target element contained in the user interface.

  • Patent number: 7370761
Abstract: A container package assembly comprises a first support member and a second support member, each of which have a front side, a back side, a right side and a left side. The support members being arranged along a common plane wherein one of the sides of the first support member is immediately adjacent to one of the sides of the second support member. Each of the support members further comprise at least one wall defining at least a portion of at least one of the front side, back side, right side and left side of the first support member and second support member. Containers are positioned on the support surface of the first support member and the second support member. A top pad is positioned on top of the containers and extends over at least a portion of each of the containers. The support members, the containers and the top pad comprise an assembly which is at least partially encapsulated by a film.

  • Publication number: 20050167314
Abstract: A temporary packaging method and a resultant package are provided for comprising temporarily bonding containers on a flat base member to stabilize the containers for further packaging, the method comprising the steps of providing a base member, providing containers, temporarily bonding the containers to the base member with a hot melt adhesive, advancing the base member with containers through the packaging or handling system so that further processing of the containers may optionally be effected, encapsulating the base member and bonded containers with a plastic shrink film to complete the package, followed by release of the containers from the bond to base member within minutes after shrink wrapping, with the adhesive remaining bonded to the base member.

  • Publication number: 20050139502
Abstract: A product container package assembly comprises a tray, a plurality of product containers positioned on a support surface of the tray, and an adhesive positioned between at least one of the product containers and the support surface. The tray having a support surface, front side, a back side, a left side and a right side. The tray has a back side wall, right side wall and a left side wall extending in a substantially vertical direction from the support surface. The front side defines an opening between the right side wall, the left side wall and the support surface. The adhesive is positioned at least between the product container(s) immediately adjacent to the front side opening and the support surface.
