  • Publication number: 20230340769
Abstract: Odoriferous gases are drawn from a toilet bowl into a passage of a valve assembly, by a fan. When filled with water, a trap downstream of the fan blocks flow of gases through the passage. Downstream of the trap, the passage is fluidly coupled to a sewer drain. During evacuation, water is drained from the trap into a fluidly coupled reservoir. After evacuation, water is displaced from the reservoir. The displaced water flows back into the trap. A portion of flush water is diverted to maintain the water level in the trap.

  • Publication number: 20220025630
Abstract: An odor elimination system includes a tank adapter with passages through which odors from a toilet bowl are drawn. A fan draws the odors from the bowl through the tank adapter into a passage that includes a trap. While the fan is running, the trap is empty. A barrier moves to expose a reservoir. Water from the trap is received in the reservoir, to evacuate the trap. The barrier is moved back into the reservoir to displace water from the reservoir into the trap to block sewer odors from the drain pipe. A sipper diverts a portion of flush water to maintain the trap full.

  • Patent number: 7004094
Abstract: A system for reducing skin friction drag includes a user-controlled drag reducing substance and components for introducing the substance at or near the surface of the object for which skin friction drag is desired. In a fluid injection system embodiment, a pressurized injectant source supplies an injectant, an injector device injects the injectant near the surface of the object for which drag reduction is desired, a hose or conduit directs flow of the pressurized fluid from the source to the injector device and a control device enables a user to control the flow.

  • Publication number: 20040000265
Abstract: A system for reducing skin friction drag includes a user-controlled drag reducing substance and means for introducing the substance at or near the surface of the object for which skin friction drag is desired. In a fluid injection system embodiment, a pressurized injectant source supplies an injectant, an injector means injects the injectant near the surface of the object for which drag reduction is desired, a hose or conduit provides means for directing flow of the pressurized fluid from the source to the injector means and control means enables a user to control the flow.
