  • Patent number: 11828038
Abstract: Disclosed is a pile connection for horizontally fixing an elongated beam for a foundation support system. In particular, disclosed is a pile connection including at least one pile sleeve and at least one coupling attaching the at least one pile sleeve to an elongated beam such that a pile within the at least one pile sleeve extends between a top and bottom of the beam. Such a configuration provides a cost-effective, modular, and scalable system that is easily installed and adaptable to a variety of different terrains.

  • Patent number: 11788246
Abstract: A micropile connection for supporting a vertical pile for a support system is disclosed herein. The micropile connection includes a base and two micropile sleeves attached thereto. The two micropile sleeves are configured to direct micropiles from opposing sides of the base across the base, such that the two micropiles cross through a vertical plane intersecting the base and between lateral edges of the base.

  • Publication number: 20230265628
Abstract: A pile connection comprises at least one fixture having a collar portion, a plurality of micropile sleeves, a plurality of gusset members extending between the collar portion and the micropile sleeves, and at least one connecting member that couples adjacent gusset members and that is spaced apart from the collar portion. A recess bounded by a wall of the collar portion is configured to contact a portion of a vertical pile. One or more fasteners may be used to press the wall against the vertical pile, with certain embodiments employing two complementary fixtures that may be coupled to one another (e.g., using the fasteners) along opposing sides of the vertical pile. Each micropile sleeve is configured to receive a micropile that may be driven through the sleeve into the ground at a position spaced apart from the vertical pile.

  • Publication number: 20220186454

The two micropile sleeves are configured to direct micropiles from opposing sides of the base across the base, such that the two micropiles cross through a vertical plane intersecting the base and between lateral edges of the base. The micropile connection is compact and easily attached to the pile, thereby resulting in mounting micropiles to the pile for additional support. Use of the micropile connection may decrease the time and expense associated with rectifying refusals.
