Abstract: A plate-type bullet trap provides an adjustable angle upper and lower plate system which facilitates adjustment of the individual angles of each plate as well as the mutual and relative angles between the plates. In this manner, the geometry presented by the plate-type bullet trap system may be varied to present a maximized efficiency and effectiveness of the plate trap geometry for various entrance paths and characteristics for bullets and other projectiles.

Abstract: A wind turbine system includes a turbine having a plurality of semi-cylindrical vanes supported in a cylindrical array by rotatable top, center and bottom plates. The supporting plates are joined to a center shaft which in turn is rotatably supported. A plurality of alternators are driven by the center shaft through a pulley and belt arrangement. The vanes are positioned at the periphery of the cylindrical array and occupy less than one-third of the radial distance of the support plates.

Abstract: A holder for a fishing rod, rifle, or other generally axially shaped member is provided in which an article rests within a sleeve. Along one end of the sleeve a curved locking member is provided which is adapted for placement over a secured article. A second curved member is positioned within the sleeve and beneath a secured article. The respective curved members are connected to a common hinge and move in tandem. The secured article can be removed by lifting the article above the sleeve and thereby moving the curved engagement members in unison to a release position.

Abstract: Apparatus for identifying the position of the movable portion of a fifth wheel which is useful on a multi-axle vehicle relative to the fixed rail portion (24) thereof. The apparatus includes sensing element (34) positioned on the movable fifth wheel portion for recognizing the successive, teeth-like elements (22) of the rail portion, and a signal processor (30) which is responsive to the sensing element (34) for determining the direction of movement of the fifth wheel and for counting the number of teeth (22) recognized by the sensing element (34).
