    Abstract: A system and method of rendering outputs from a predefined output definition such as an html file. The definition includes at least one texture expression that is evaluated to create a conventional texture picture or audio output to be employed in the rendering. The texture expression requires less storage space and/or transmission bandwidth than a conventional image or audio texture and yet can provide complex and/or intricate textures to increase visual and audio esthetics and interest in the resulting rendered output. Evaluation of texture expressions can be performed with absolute or relative screen coordinates, or other parameters such as elapsed time or current time, as variables for the expression.
