    Abstract: A peristaltic pump of the type having a housing, a rotor mounted on the housing and adapted for rotation about its longitudinal axis and carrying at least two compression rollers for movement in a circular path, a reaction member mounted on the housing and having a reaction surface adapted to at least partially encircle the circular path traversed by the compression rollers, and a compressible tube interposed between the rotor and reaction surface so that the compression rollers effect a peristaltic pumping action on the tube during rotation.
