  • Publication number: 20190351205
Abstract: A hydro needle system includes a vial and an array of needles. Each needle in the array is in fluid communication with the vial so as to transport the liquid from the vial to the skin. An actuator is in communication with the array of needles and is configured to apply reciprocating linear motion to the needles so as to repeatedly cause the needles to reciprocate. A casing holds the vial, the needles and the actuator. The casing includes a skin contacting surface that supports the array of needles in a predetermined angular relationship with respect to the skin. At least a portion of the casing is transparent so that the liquid in the vial can be seen therethrough to determine how much liquid remains in the vial during use.

  • Patent number: 10145699
Abstract: A forest fire real-time escape route planning system may include a processor that receives real-time Geographical Information System data. The system may include a firefighter endurance and route-planning model for determining, based on data received by the processor, one or more firefighter evacuation routes to one or more safe areas. The model may determine a rating for each evacuation route based on a degree of risk. The model may predict a rate of fire progression based on fire fuel proximate the fire. They system may include a transmitting device for communicating the one or more firefighter evacuation routes along with the rating for each evacuation route to a mobile device. The mobile device may be configured to display the one or more firefighter evacuation routes overlaid on a map depicting a current location of a firefighter relative to the fire.

  • Publication number: 20090012631
Abstract: The system subject of disclosure includes computer software inputted with machine readable data into a CPU that sequentially combines and integrates multiple activities and processes of a production or processing facility. The steps or functions performed by the software include but are not limited to performing control rationalization, process hazard analysis and layer of protection analysis. The software also evaluates safety requirement specifications, and safety, environmental and financial integrity levels. Finally, the software performs alarm rationalization, alarm management, process safety management and creating an integrated comprehensive machine readable facility database that can be used over the life of the facility.

  • Patent number: 7055631
Abstract: A drill pipe protector having a tubular sleeve that is attached to a section of drill pipe and resides over the outer diameter of the drill pipe while moving within an associated well casing or well hole. The sleeve has low-friction end pads positioned on the ends of the sleeve to reduce friction between the ends of the sleeve and the end of an adjacent thrust bearing collar used to hold the sleeve in place on the drill pipe.

  • Publication number: 20020117337
Abstract: A drill pipe protector assembly for providing hydraulic lift and improved sliding lubrication to a drill string. The protector defines a tubular sleeve that is attached to a section of drill pipe and resides over the outer diameter of the drill pipe while moving within an associated well casing or well hole. The sleeve is adapted to provide hydraulic lift and sliding lubrication relative to the well casing and thus, increase the proclivity of the drill pipe to slide down the hole while also reducing the development of cutting dams. The sleeve includes a plurality of radially oriented openings which direct drilling mud from the annular space between the sleeve and drill pipe to the annular space between the sleeve and the casing or outer well wall. The sleeve also includes a plurality of wedge shaped longitudinal channels in communication with the radial openings.
